Ex: eminem from 99-03 was insane! Especially around 8mile / invasion etc. Then from encore till relapse everything was TRASH, all accents, burps, farts, random babbling about weird shit, etc

Or 50 from 2000-grodt was flames. After that it was all monotone, watered down, no effort, bullshit. He seems to be recovering (or so I read, I have no interest in listening to him as of now)

Alright arubiano you make a great point. Cuz truthfully, crooked got owned on all those SH2TBG songs by eastwood and rayj. And maybe him never releasing an album is his way of dealing with being an mc and not a rap artist.

Truthfully? I don't think he can drop a classic album, though I'd love to be proven otherwise. Even though he hasn't dropped an official album, he still has projects (mixtapes, eps whatever you want to call them) and none of them have been anywhere near what I'd call classic. He's a great freestyler, but I don't think he's going to put out that great album everyone wants. He's in the same boat as Papoose.

lol are you seriously comparing him to Eminem? Crooked I has never his whole career dropped music on the level of the SSLP or MMLP. Maybe Crooked I could be like Em if Em had never dropped albums and instead kept doing freestyles on the wakeup show.

Hmmm, I dont know man, I think he can. Its hard for me to prove it but I just heard enough shit to believe he can. I personally think he just hasn't been able to have serenity with all his drama throughout the years. I think he can do it all. I think the biggest problem is evaluating an album. Would it be a classic for you? For me? Would you go by popular opinion? Hip Hop magazines? Everyone has different opinions of classic. For instance, some people consider AMW to be Ice Cube's best album and other feel its Death Certificate. Some cats feel 2Pac had more than one, other feel his only classic was Makaveli. There's many artist that I would consider to have "classic" albums but would probably not be considered classic to Hip Hop history. I can't say he would ever be able to make a classic hip hop album but I think he can make a damn good album. After that, we can start talking about whether it can go into that unique class.
