Wow 5 years already.

Still bump the hell out of this album. Had a good mix of party tracks, chill tracks and political ones. I would definitely give it the edge over his latter 2 albums. And the OG edition with videos for all the songs was a nice collectors item to have as well.

Still bump tracks but Raw Footage was better. It just had more of that vintage Cube feel with him speaking on actual political issues. Stand Tall ranks up there with his best. Take out the  few southern songs and it could've been an awesome album. That's said, I liked LNCL. If Cube is gonna be making party records, that's the type I'd rather hear than I Am the West  :-X

Yeah lyrically I give a slight edge to RF but LNCL had better beats by far.

I prefer Raw Footage, but it's still a sick album.

"Growin' Up" is one of his most underrated tracks IMO.

My favorite Ice Cube album or at least the one I listen to the most. Has a good combo of club/chill tracks like you have said and can be listenable from front to back.

I loved it back when it dropped but I haven't listened to it in awhile, I guess this thread is my cue now... but damn it's been 5 years that's fucking crazy

Hot ass album, but since it came out i could never find a "real explicit cdq" version of Race Card, i had the album and all the bonus tracks on one cd (it was the shit!!, that cd is long gone along with the cdq version of racecard lol). I enjoyred it alot more than raw footage and his recent one.

yeah that is crazy.... hard to say between this and raw footage.... both r solid albums..... i am the west was weak. cubes worst album....
