Are U sure U aint just talkin bout the whole rap industry as a whole?? Just in 95, there was a lot more priority and recognition in tha west for they were home to stars with celebrity status who were rappin at the time which gave popularity. Just luck that those were people like Pac who highlighted a lot of real east coast ccats like Wu tang Clan And the boot camp clique

No East has always recieved more love, when west was on top, they critised it, rap was never gangsta rap until West was on its way to take over the industry through sales and numbers. It was never gangsta rap when Eric B And LL were talking their shit, it was a problem when Ice T and N.W.A. burst through. I still feel Ice T Paved the way for them.

But on topic in 94-97 tha west could align itself with the same respect the east it. Both had talent. I've never watched Yo in years but knowing how sad the rap industry has got I can only imagine.
