if u have an ear 4 tha shit then nah not really but i know wat you're gettin at.  me personally i dont have too much an issue with today's trends of Rap.  I think it's just tha nostalgia that kills it for some people and the acoustics aren't as warm as they used to be.  "I'm On One" is actually pretty nice and everybody did their thing and DJ Khaled didn't ruin tha track even tho he used to wyle out usin the word "nigga" too much (he coulda got smacked for that, i dont care if we're bombin the Middle East or not).  


even though it'll be stagnated when it does clear i think if people can get their mixing game up and learn how to chop samples better than before (and actually use more than just 1 sample in a song) then rap can outshine the 90's like Soul did swing music in the 70's and 80's.  it'll take some time tho, unless producers and artists have been saving those types of beats and working on newer shit since the 90's.
