From Ras' own mouth, he said Priority was giving him the runaround on the album and then when they found out Dr. Dre was producing on it, they were trying to move things around. He already had a first single picked out and Dre had agreed to let him use whatever song they had as a single but not as the lead since he had been burned when Ras' previous single, "Ghetto Fabulous" didn't take off like they hoped. Ras was fine with that but Priority stuck the screws to him because he didn't play ball on that.

wasnt there some super old 80's track that dre supposedley produced that had ice t on it? i kno that there is one advertised as such. it was on The posse pt 2 and allegedly that album was a compilation of very old dre tracks from around the time nwa was formed '85-'87. anyone know what i'm talking about??

i think i know what you mean. there are a lot unofficial dre compilations out there.
you're talking about the I need a rolex song? dre didn't produce that
