The MLB's most undisputed worst call ever
« on: July 27, 2011, 04:29:52 AM »

But Dud Selig gets off on junk like this, the sick bastard.  The stupid human element.  The computer has no bias, PEOPLE DO  >:(  If you got it, USE IT!  Instant Replay.  At least discipline or FIRE the umpires on their bullshit calls or personal grudges[roberto alomar] & their favoritism[cheating for the Yankees]

This call takes the cake & there been times where the umpires should be 4ced 2 wear glasses.  Others can mention other garbage mlb calls you've seen in your life.

And I hate the Tigers, but that was so wrong.
The 3rd strike called a ball in game 1 1998 world series, then a 3 run home run happened after that.

1985 game 6 world series, game 7 shoulda never been played.  Doug Dekkinger [don't know how its really spelled] cost the cardinals a championship.  I'm glad the Royals won one but it should never happen this way.  Yes the redbirds won another WS 21 years later but still.
1992 world series when the umps wanted the Braves to beat the Blue Jays but the Braves still lost.  Especially 1 play where Jays player tagged Deion out but when he slid to a base the umps still called him safe :o

2007 when the Rockies player was out at the plate, the umps still called him safe & the Rockies got in the playoffs.  Not the Madres.

1999 ALCS when the umps stole 2 games from the Red Sox, 1 time in NY & the other in game 4 or 6 where red sox nation rioted.

2008 in Shea Stadium when a ball was way outside, ump still called strike 3 on Manny.  Can't stand Manny but bullshit.

There are talks that an extra umpire could be added to specifically just look at replays.  I guess that's not a bad idea.  As long as they're able to communicate quickly with the umpires on the field.

We don't need instant replay, we just need harsher penalty for blown calls of this proportion.

Like, you kidding me? It's obvious this umpire was like "Oh, no fucking way am I staying here longer...SAFE".

I remember Joe West said that games were taking "too long". Umpires get paid nearly 300,000 dollars a season to do something I'm sure any fan of sports would do & they're seriously bitching? STFU. I'll do that job for a quarter of the price & probably twice as good.

Honestly, is there an easier job on the planet than being an umpire?

Even with harsher penalties, errors will still exist because they're human.

I'm fine with human error. There has been human error for 100+ years. Reviewing homeruns is cool.

But this is straight up "I wanna go home" & fucking the game up.

And another bullshit call happened on sunday.  Tigers player slid safely onto 3rd base but the blind umpire still called him out  :o  Jim Leyland went to argue the call but ump with lil' man syndrome wanted 2 be the star of the game ejected him  >:(  I bet Indians fans wondered where were these umps in game 7 in 2007 especially when umps cheated for boston then?  And I partially seen little league 2day & they used instant replay on an out/safe situation.  MLB needs 2 get out of the stone age/1800's, not just with the boring plain uniforms too.

It's actually pretty funny how the Little League World Series is experimenting with instant replay. Coaches get two a game, I believe if they're right they get to keep them, like Football.

In a game between Japan/Mexico it was tied two-two in the fifth (they only play six) & there were runners on first & second with two outs. Kid hits a ground ball to the shortstop, he throws it a little off line to first & the first basemen appears to be off the bag from the camera angle & apparently the umpires angle because he called him safe. So now bases loaded, two outs. But Mexico challenged that their first basemen kept his foot on the bag the second he caught the ball. Slow motion replay showed he did, runner was ruled out & the inning ended. The next at bat could have decided the game.

Best part, it took two minutes. Considering that's basically the MLB's only excuse how "long it will take".

However, with all that being said, I'm still against instant replay. Just thought I'd share how it worked at the 12-13 year old age lol.

Selig needs 2 start making these dumb umps accountable.  Dodger fans would say this dumbass call cost the Dodgers a victory.  Suspend this fool now.  Video is in the link.  Ump needs super strength glasses.  INSTANT REPLAY!  INSTANT REPLAY!  Its actually a song.

LMAO. The video got taken off due to a copyright claim from the MLB. Another reason the MLB is losing its younger fan base.

They've taken down good videos too. MLB is really behind when it comes youtube. And it's worse, there has been talks on cracking down on GIFs. On fucking GIFS. lmao
