kurupt news

Tha Row's Vice President and main man now that CEO Suge Knight is in lock down recently spoke out on various topics.

When asked about his tardyness from the recording studio Kurupt said: “I’m really chillin’ right now, I have a lot of things to do from this executive page right now. I have to concentrate on sitting behind this desk right now. I’m kind of a little burnt on the rapping right now. I have kids, so you know I’ve gotta concentrate on my kids. So I’m just going to be posted up and concentrating on the acts that we have. I’m going to enjoy this executive game for a second before I drop another torpedo.”

When asked if he lost his passion for recording Kurupt responded by saying: “Never! I just think I’ve gained a new passion for business. I won’t hold back for too long, but there’s a lot that I have to learn in this business. It’s an experience I need to go through.”

When asked about his movie career Kurupt said: “[‘Half Past Dead’] was my second major movie…it was the first one to be released,” he said. “I really like the movie thing. It’s more slow-paced. The music game is fast-paced. I’m really getting accustomed to the movie thing. I can just sit back and relax. I have a lot of off time in between filming and things like that.”

Kurupt went on to state he is currently working on projects from N.I.N.A, Eastwood, Crooked I, and Danny Boy.

50 cent news

The biggest drama in 50 Cent's life right now is his war of words with Ja Rule. Ja has made statements that he could take out all of Aftermath, and comments like that just make 50 laugh. "I think he's a clown, all he's missin is a red nose, a wig, and the shoes." Ja Rule also claims that 50 Cent is scared of him due to an incident back in '99, an incident 50 describes as nothing more than a squabble that resulted in neither having to go to a hospital. 50 notes that most of what Ja Rule has been saying is simply another form of promotion. "Seven days before his album drops he goes to radio says I have an order of protection on him," 50 takes a second to laugh and continues, "c'mon, (Ja Rule) weighs 110 pounds wet, and with his pockets full of change."

ja talkin shit mentoins pac as always

Ja Rule tells The Source magazine that he's changed his mind about retiring after releasing his latest album 'Last Temptation'. Ja's explaination? "I don't think I wanna retire no more. Quincy Jones said something that made me think. He said- Tupac died at 25. If I had died at 25, I would have been a musician who didn't get a chance to blossom." He added, "If Malcolm X died at 25, he would have been a street hustler named Detroit Red. If MLK died at 25, he would have just been a preacher who never got to the Martin Lurther King Jr. that we know... That made me think I could die tomorrow, and that right there will stop my legacy and my life; People would never get a chance to know what I could have grown to be."

here some more im gonna try and keep it going

method man readies album

Remember the days of the good old Method Man, the raw style with the gasp for air between bars? It looks like they weren’t all good days. “I was unfocused. It's like ignorance was bliss for me in those years...I didn't know what was at stake when I did that first video 'Bring the Pain' [and] came to the set dusted. That's why I looked crazy like that ... Niggas was high! Not just weed high. Dust. Angel dust high.”

However, it is was the poor reception of his second album that turned Meth around, “The second album [1998's Tical 2000: Judgement Day] was unfocused. My head was in the clouds somewhere. I was like, 'Yeah, I can do this. This ain't nothing. I can do this by myself!' That's the mistake a lot of us make…What was bringing me down was the drugs, the partying, the drinking and the fake love kept me blinded for a long time. [For example, people said,] 'You're already established, you ain't gotta work hard.' That type of fake love."

Meth has taken a step away from his past with his new album as he is not recording it in Wu’s 36 Chambers studio. He is actually recording the album in Puffy’s studio with Bad Boy VP Harve Pierre, who is the album’s executive producer. That isn’t to say that the Wu isn’t represented on his album, Raekwon and Ghostface are slated to appear and RZA will do some production. Former Common producer (first 3 albums), No I.D. will contribute as well. Look out for this one in the spring via Def Jam.

 50

You've heard the rumors on the street about 50 Cent's alleged Order of Protection against Ja Rule and Murder Inc. The current issue of The Source Magazine mentions evidence of the actual documents confirming the rumor. Well, the website Getsmedia.com got the actual goods and posted them for the world to see. SOHH.com's investigations found a strong possible link between Getsmedia.com and rapper, Benzino.

The three-page Temporary Order of Protection document was sworn March 25, 2000 before the Criminal Court of the City of New York by Detective William Fitzgerald and names defendants Irving "Irv Gotti" Lorenzo, his brother, Christopher Lorenzo and Ramel "Black Child" Gill in the March 24th gang assault of Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent.

The document further describes how Gil, with a "knifing" motion, stabbed 50 causing a "laceration to the chest, partially collapsed lung... and requiring hospitalization at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital." 50 was also assaulted with a metal crutch and beat around the face and back.

The Getsmedia.com website posted the documents along with anti-50 Cent rhetoric calling 50 a "rat" and "snitch" for reporting the stabbing and getting the restraining order. The site further states:

"Real street ni99as don't snitch. 50 Cent does not rep the street. He is a coward and a liar... you can't deny court documents!"

There is no apparent link of the website to Murder Inc. However, according to an internet domain server search, Getsmedia.com is owned by a Boston, Massachusetts proprietor. The fact that the website owner is out of Boston, Massachussetts strongly points to a Raymond "Benzino" Scott affilation. A possible motive for Benzino's involvement could be his public beef with Eminem -- 50 Cent's producer.

Editor's Aside: NY State Criminal Law automatically assumes prosecution of felony assaults and therefore the situation would have been prosecuted with or without 50's consent. And anyone who'd get stabbed up by a gang and NOT get an order of protection is a damn fool!

more 50

In an apparent all-out character assault and street smear campaign, it has been confirmed by SOHH.com sources that the recent leak of 50 Cent's court restraining order documents was NOT linked to Benzino, but came directly from Murder Inc.

Sources tell SOHH.com that Murder Inc. has been widely circulating the court documents nationwide by mail to industry insiders and media outlets since early this week. Additionally, flyers with anti-50 Cent propaganda, calling him a "snitch" have been allegedly "handed out" to random individuals street-team style around the Murder Inc offices.

The website, Getsmedia.com, was one of the first outlets to receive the propaganda and published the documents verbatim. The website is not directly linked to the controversy.

Included in the mailer package was several "scripts" telling media outlets exactly what to publish along with audio clips featuring Cadillac Tah, Young Merc & Black Child AKA Ramel Gill doing the dirty work. You should recall Ramel Gill was named as a defendant along with Irving "Irv Gotti" Christoper in the 2000 50 Cent stabbing as described in the leaked court restraining order documents.

One clip, called "40 Bars To The Dime Dropper 50 Cent" features Tah telling real street ni99as "don't vouch for this motherf#@$er" followed Young Merc rhyming.

"I barely know this coward; half of a dollar, but well show him the power of a dollar ... / ... Ya'll ni99as running claiming you gangsta; snitch ni99as; Now who the real Wanksta?" - Young Merc

Another clip, called "G-Unit Killa" features Black Child in a bold, celebratory confession of the 50 Cent stabbing.

"You knew I was coming. Dumping; Who want it? A hundred rounds / Didn't I stab you up; Don't make me gun you down ... I got women that do the evil men do / That got more heart than you; Want no parts of you ... / ... You say you a gangsta, but we don't believe you; I come thru 1-3-4 and don't see you ... / 50; I had a knife; you had a gun; You ain't pop one shot; Poked you; You called 9-1-1" - Black Child

Word has it that Murder Inc. has a lot more in store for 50 as his album release approaches. Expect a swift and sure retaliation from 50 Cent. The rivalry could get very serious as it did with the first stabbing attack on 50 Cent in 2000. We'll keep you posted as this rapidly escalating situation unfolds

faboulous

Rappers and the law go together like peanut butter and jelly. Fabolous was released last night after being pulled over in Manhattan after making an illegal left turn late Wednesday. When officers ran his plates and license, they found that his license was suspended for failing to pay a fine on a previous ticket. They arrested him Wednesday night, where he spent the night in the Manhattan Precinct House and was released early yesterday.

Fab's new album, Street Dreams has been pushed back until March 25, and will be released on the strength of the first single, "This Is My Party". Expect more party tracks from the album with production being handled by DJ Clue and Duro.

Thanks for the news, shame Kurupt isn't working on a new album.

Murder Inc are corny, all that bullshit they're doing and 50 is probably still gonna sell more than Ja Rule's latest.

Oh I found this Ja Rule quote amusing:
Quote
"I could die tomorrow, and that right there will stop my life."
I think he's smarter than we think.
