Naw man its pretty gay. Actually I listened to "any given sunday" hoping to find a couple sleepers but he dissapointed like usual, all 5 tracks were weak.

Personally out of all 5 tracks on the EP I thought Pity was the best (partly due to Voli's verse).

LAS was good, but Cole's had better tracks...

This forum never has love for anything that's new or not affiliated with Death Row.

Song's dope no doubt, but I'm hoping what Cole's saving for Cole World will be twice as good...

Well the fact that Cole's buzz is too low to show any signs of him or his debut being successful doesn't help either. Dude doesn't have a single song playing on the radio or any that have reached the rest of the world like B.o.B., Wiz Khalifa and Lupe Fiasco did. He and his label will keep delaying the album as long as Cole's fans are only a few something-k followers on Twitter, he needs to be shoved down everyone's throat until they're sick of him to move units, but Roc Nation's too cheap to provide any promotion...

.... dude, just because he doesnt have a million followers on twitter doesnt mean people know them, hes known, u ask an average person in a major cityh, nyc, LA, etc etc theyll know who j cole is. white boys / bitches will buy that song. j cole is known he'll sell, especially to school kids.

wiz khalifa was barely anything till black and yellow.  and he does have work out getting radio play in power and kiss fm

A major city, and one in the U.S.? He has to be known to even the poorest village in Africa in order for him to even dream of moving as many units as Drake or Nicki Minaj.
Okay, maybe that's going a bit too overboard. But if he's known only in the major cities (and only by name rather than for his songs) it doesn't seem like dude has much of a buzz IMO.

That's what I mean, J. Cole needs a song that'll make him a overnight celebrity. Wiz Khalifa's album managed to sell as much as it did because everyone and their grandma knew about B&Y. Same with B.o.B.'s Nothin' On You, Drake's Best I Ever Had and Dirty Money's I'm Coming Home. Even if the people only knew like one song off the whole album the average consumer'll be like "I heard that on the radio" or "my friend was listening to that" or "everyone's listening to that" and check Cole's shit out.
If dude can release even one single that'll make it to the Billboard Top 10, those who only buy whatever's on the charts will buy Cole's album and with his fanbase and a handful of casual listeners picked up along the way he'll could probably go at least Gold.
Eventually that one single that's dominating the U.S. air waves will cross the ocean to the rest of the world, and since countries like Britain, Japan, Korea and Russia literaly eat up whatever's hot in the U.S., they'll drive the album 's success further.
But does Cole have that single that's sweeping the nation? No he doesn't.
If he's not blowing up like hell in the U.S., he'll be ignored by the rest of the world and his album'll fail to meet the amount of success it should.

honestly dude has too much talent not to blow up, and hes mainstream friendly i dont see y not.

j cole's hype right now is as big as wiz before black and yellow, and work's gettin radio play, except black n ytellow was more of a club banger so i think thats y it got more love.

i mean whereever i go, whoever i meet, wheter it be from here or out of state, its "j cole, j cole , jcole" on the radio, XXL, etc etc..

and when u talk about average consumer what do u mean??? certainly not us.

I knew that sample on the chorus sounded familiar. Same sample used in Pac's I Get Around which I guess is from the Gang Starr song Get In The Arena.

Sick song by the way.

BEFORE B&Y? That's not much is it. He has to be as big as (if not bigger than) Wiz after B&Y. It was after B&Y that everyone started saying Tayler Gang and Wiz Khalifa shows were getting sold out.
J. Cole's talented and he's mainstream friendly, I agree with that. But a lot of cats are and lot of cats failed when they should've been the next Drake or B.o.B. or whatever. There's nothing keeping Cole from being the next one to fall into that pit (even though that's something I really hope doesn't happen).

i mean whereever i go, whoever i meet, wheter it be from here or out of state, its "j cole, j cole , jcole" on the radio, XXL, etc etc..

XXL? You mean the mag? No one actually reads magazines anymore. Saying that he's on featured on them doesn't mean shit.
And by average consumer I meant a lot of people. Teens, young adults, adults in their late 30's etc... Anyone who's got cash and is willing to buy albums or ringtones should they feel like it. Or those who buy albums/ringtones after being persuaded to do so by their friends or just out of curiousity for what's going on in the music world.
