Tha Shiznit vs. Unbelievable?
« on: January 18, 2003, 10:00:57 AM »
I remember DOC saying in an interview that Snoop freestyled the Shiznit like in one take, just stepped in the booth and dropped it.  Premo said the same thing about Biggie when they did Unbelievable.  I think this is a pretty dope comparison, cause it's both biggie and snoop at their best.  It's also dre vs. Premo, you can compare the beats too.

Personally, I got to go with the Shiznit, cause the 3rd verse in that song is just fuckin' incredible for me.

Both are very great freestyles, and both at each artist peek. No Biggie was better than early Biggie, and no Snoop was better than Snoop Doggy Dogg. So in that, it's a great comparision. For them two songs, I think Snoop came better, as he flowed longer, had subjects and even a Luke diss. Biggie was nice, and was very lyrical, but I think Snoop just got this one.

Snoop's I guess cause I gotta listen to it again to see if it was a freestyle.
"Unbelievable" isn't a freestyle, I know that.

Also, if you wanna make a poll like this closer you should post this in Outbound cause in here it's gonna be a blow out.

Biggie's wasn't a freestyle.  He wrote all his lyrics in his head, memorized them, then flowed.  So Premo saw Biggie do what he did on EVERY song: Rap back somethi'n he'd been worki'n on.

Snoop's was DEFINATELY freestyle.  Stuff like

"You don't understand how I kicks it, cuz Snoop is on the Mic and I gets WICKED
Follow Me: Listen to me, cuz I do you like you wanna be done
Snoop Doggy Dogg on the Streets, 2, 1, um, Dum, diddy, Dum, Here I come
With tha Gat and the Guitar Will Strum, Um"

You can tell the way he's rhyming, that he's just searchin' for stuff to rhyme with what he just said.  This ain't no crap he worked out in his head, or wrote down, this is right off the dome, just throwing words out as he thinks of them.  Like, what the hell did he mention a guitar for? Because he thought "Strum" rhymed with "Dum diddy Dum", ai'nt no other reason to say it, it don't even fit in.  If he woulda wrote it, that wouldn't be there, and there's no guitar in the beat.  The Doc and the Doctor both said it's freestyle, and that's why he's the greatest, everybody else been workin' that crap out in their head, and it shows, Crooked I is the biggest busta at this, that fool will do morning shows and spit the same damn freestyle.

Biggies unbalievable is isnt even close to biggies best song at that album..... while the shiznet is deffinitly in the top 3 ..... on biggies ready to die 3 songs that are better than unbelievable are :
1.Juicy
2. Big poppa
3. Give me the loot

Now snoop is my favorite rapper .... seems like a mad cool guy .... and in my opinion doggystyle and ready to die are equivelent to each other but biggie is the better rapper... maybe because he died way before his time and you all ways need a little more biggie... and will never get it while for some strange reason you will have tupac double albums 40 years from now.... kind of intresting in my mind.... No one in rap in sivnce reay to die has painted a picture with his words as clear as biggie thing and thats what you got to remember....
