In response to your thread I have a question for you. Do you actually listen to music by artist that you have never heard of and/or aren't attached to a credible company? I feel like there is a big lack of support for upcoming artist out of the west that make great music on all of these west coast websites. I am not talking about artist that send unprofessional emails or badly mixed music. But there are a lot of artist out here that make great music that never get love on any westcoast websites. What makes you actually checkout an email from someone that you have never heard of? That question is for anyone that owns, works or has had a blog/website presently or in the past.

We sift through so much music at dubcnn when it gets submitted and yea we miss some but the best way to get a chance is that initial contact, make it respectful and clear - dont just send us a myspace page, a mp3...make it something that we feel compelled to read and listen.
