how can half of those producers you listed be considered better than em when they don't even produce anything?

This is Hip Hop not Rock so the term "production" is a whole different thing since samples are a staple in Hip Hop and always will be. The bulk of classic material Hip Hop has created was formed from sampling.

There are still many producers better then Em, that is for sure.  I'm just saying I think he was better then Dre in '02.

I also think The Neptunes were better than Em.

easily Quik was better...so were the Neptunes and Timbo...Kanye West and Just Blaze...Mannie Fresh along with Jazze Pha produced much better...DJ Khalil was a star IMO...Bosko laced up beats nicely this year...cmon Eminem wasnt even close to the top ten...LMAO...
