Words of Slice of (@itsALLBC) - It’s no secret that Peezy and I are huge Dom Kennedy supporters. His new album “From the Westside with Love Part II” has been the soundtrack to our 2011 summer! It’s hands down one of my favorite albums out right now. It’s shittin on the Carter IV and Peezy thinks it trumps Jay-Z’s and Kanye’s “Watch the Throne”, in other words we’re fuckin’ with Dom HEAVY! So when we heard he was performing in SD, we jumped at the chance to catch his show (Shout out to Kenneth of Black Resume for being on top of his business and putting the tickets on Eventbrite.! We got a two-for-$15-hustle-man deal!).

Donned in a SoCal uniform, Dom hit the stage dressed in beige Khaki shorts a Kelly Green Oakland fitted and sported a pair of 1985 Nike Cortez kicks complete with the high socks! True West Coast fashion! He rocked the capacity crowd at Porter’s Pub on the UCSD campus with hits from his newest LP and did a couple joints off the original “From The Westside With Love”. After the show, Dom stayed behind to sign every autographs and pose for every picture. He literally stayed and shook every person’s hand.  Peezy and I were surprised an honored that Dom was gracious enough to grant us an impromptu interview. 100 props for keeping it 100, putting out a classic album and giving a great interview. If you ain’t on this Dom Kennedy, you’re missing out.
