Snoop is just a character these days, I don't think he is serious about rapping and hasn't been for some time

He makes a concious effort to keep it peaceful and respectful but there's always been something just under the surface. If you look at the Dubbcnn interview, he really kind of just buries him without much provocation. He talks about a pretty big single off one of the best-selling hip-hop albums in history and acts like it never crossed his radar. An album produced by his mentor and one that he has a guest spot on. He has kind of thrown some down-low jabs at dude over the years. I mean, I could be completetly wrong but when Eminem talks about Snoop, he seems to have a genuine respect for him. Snoop, on the other hand, has always left me with the impression that he kind of ain't much of a fan. In reading that interview where he says he don't listen to Em's music? With the kind of radio play and exposure that he gets, you have to make a real effort not to be up on that man's catalog. Him saying that he don't listen to Eminem means that he doesn't bump his music not if Em's music gets played on radio or not. Of course Snoop has heard a few Em song but i believe him when he says that he doesn't listen to Eminem and trust that he isn't the only one i can at least respect Snoop for being honest instead of trying to be on his dick just cuz he's popular (like rappers always do nowadays). But who knows might be something we don't know about or maybe Snoop just went off a lil for a moment.

Maybe so but it's still his way of saying that he doesn't like Em's music. Even though Snoop isn't doing much gangsta material these days doesn't mean that it can't be what he listens to or enjoys the most, and let's not act like the majority of his catalogue isn't gangsta music. I'm sure Eminem doesn't listen to much of Snoop's current music right? Why? Maybe because he doesn't like it or think it's corny right? So it's the same thing. Snoop seems like a dude who mostly listens to old school music anyway.
