Best songs of Da game is to be sold, not to be told?
« on: September 21, 2011, 02:30:06 PM »
I know it's not Snoop's best album, but what do you think what are the best songs on it? These are my favorite 2:

1. Doggz Gonna Get Ya

Produced by KLC, feat Mac. Some really nice gangsta storytelling.

2. Hoes, Money & Clout

Real Westcoast beat! Dope lyrics & flow. Produced by Soopafly

I have never seen anyone mention these songs. They are really dope imo

"Slow Down", "Gin & Juice II" and "Still A G Thang".

Used to hate this album, found it pretty much unlistenable...then after hearing a lot more No Limit stuff I loved it..

Now I'm pretty much this is a solid album 4/5. Hard to pick out best tracks..pretty much even from start to finish.

It's strange that when it came out, everybody I know (myself included) hated it. It was too far away from the Death Row/G Funk sound. But when you hear it now, and compare it to Snoop's last 3-4 albums, you can almost call this album a classic.

There are a lot of dope tracks on that album.  But "Still A G Thing" was the best track.  I actually prefer this album over Paid Tha Cost, RnG, and Malice n Wonderland, even tho most people rank it as Snoops worst.

Album had some bangers. I was one of the people against it initially, but "Still a G Thang" is definitely a classic. "Welcome to My World" and "Slow Down" were stand outs to me also. I was even digging "Woof" when it came out.

In hindsight, as sad as it is to say, some of Snoop's best work in his entire career came on No Limit.

classic album as it is.  98' was a good year for Snoop, he had tha passion still and it shows.  only early dubcc and hardcore deathrow heads from back in tha day used to say that (excluding me).  Snoop was still pretty raw back then.

It wasn't as bad an album as it reputation suggested but the fact was it was Snoop without any of his familiar guest stars so the public shit on it. There's some dope songs but at the time, it wasn't the Snoop people wanted.

I think the two albums that followed it were much better but it wasn't a terrible album. My least favorite Snoop was always "Paid The Cost".

Definitely not best. Doggystyle is the clear winner by a mile. Snoop has continued to drop dope music through out his career but his albums tend to overflow with a lot of tracks that might not need to make the cut. Even, Last Meal, which I consider his second best, could have taken out three or so tracks and added one or two extra bangers.
