The Marathon was basically an album. I'm burned out on waiting for an official album too, but let's face it: mixtapes are just as good as albums these days, and sometimes an artist's mixtape is better than his actual album (see Drake or J.Cole). I'm perfectly content with him dropping Marathon and Marathon Continues in less than a year.

The Marathon was basically an album. If The Marathon is going to be better than him album I'll be sorely disappointed. There were some dope tracks on there but a lot of filler in my opinion

The Marathon is a dope tape but it really only had 3/4 (Mr. Untouchable, I Don't Give a Fuck, Blue Laces and Keys To the City) songs that could be considered album material. Most the other tracks are over other rappers beats or only have like 1 verse. J Cole's mixtapes like The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights have like 20 songs on them all with original production. Granted J. Cole produces a lot of his own shit but still.
