Wasn't this meant to come a couple of years ago? Break down of lyrics and songs from Illmatic and a few other albums?

Either way, glad it's coming out. Nas has been more or less pretty consistent in his music career. Be interesting to read about his thoughts and drive in the industry

I hope Nas expresses himself better with the written word than he does in interviews.  Nas' is funny like that, that as a rapper he can be so deep and introspective yet in the majority of his interviews he is shallow and uninteresting.   The only time I saw him really do an interview that equaled that of his recorded material is when he appeared on the 97' documentary Rhyme and Reason.  That piece was more of what you would expect from Nas' in an interview.

Not them all, but there are a few. A lot of great artists are like him though. Quiet, distant, and let their work do all the talking
