Anybody else checked this out after the season finale of Boardwalk Empire?  Pretty damn good pilot episode!

I found it interesting for several reasons.  There were plenty of great performances in this and it seems to have a lot of rich characters already.  This was quickly done in the first episode, can't wait till a full season is done.  It wasn't trying to baby the viewer into horse racing either, you either know the sport and its lingo or you eventually will learn it thanks to the show.
