Dom Kennedy makes straight up smooth G-Funk music....

<- Thats basicly how G-Funk supposed to sound in the 21st Century

beat and hook are really good indeed. freddie comes with a tight flow as well. I just don't like the lyrics again. I mean it's not only the content, it's even more how they say it. That's why didn't really enjoyed Dom's two album neither. You can listen to them while your busy with something so you won't pay attantion to the lyrics too much but that's it. If Dom was a better rapper, his two album would be dope, cause he has a good ear for beats.

it's alright, but Quik's 'Luv of My Life' is more what I want a 2011 west coast groove to sound like. this beat has a nice vibe but sounds amateur. Dom's album has a few nice tracks tho, like that 'OPM' joint 8)

Dom kennedy is one of the westcoast saviours, but not at the "g funk" level as dj quik, the beat was good and hook was smooth

IMO, Dom is the best from the West of the current generation.  Love how he knows how to flow to a tracc and what rap style to give it.  With G-Funk, it's not always about "murdering" the beat but instead riding it smoothly.  8)
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.
