^Oh, good thing Durant gets his due. And yes, I'd take a taller player always over an undersized one unless the smaller one is simply better which Rose isn't. Both are scorers first, and Durant is a much better shooter.

Would you agree that 20 million is a difference? It had to be a slap in the face for him. They decided to apply the new rules to his already signed contract, even though they really didn't have to.
i dont get it...wasnt the old CBA better for players? how can Durant have signed a 12 mill per year deal with the old CBA when players like Kobe, LeBron, Wade, etc. were making 20 mill+ per year under the same CBA? weird.

The new one is better for absolute superstars. Kobe is only making so much money cause he stood with the Lakers his whole career, and signed a plain max contract throughout his 18th season. LeBron and Wade actually never made 20 mil per season in their lives, and are now totally underpaid at 16 mil. With your first real contract under the new CBA you can start at 30% of the cap when you are a multiple All-Star or MVP. It used to be 25%. Also, your money can go up 2.5 mil per year, it used to be way less. That is way Dwight and Deron will opt out by any means. Overall the new CBA is much better for players than advertised. I never understood why the media would flip it like the cotton-picking players had been raped by a bunch of masas.
One industry source insisted to ESPN.com this week that Rose's new shoe deal with adidas will easily crack nine figures and could legitimately approach the $250 million range -- as in $25 million annually over a 10-year span -- in what is known in the shoe game as a "lifetime" deal.

The nigga gets paid like crazy. Too much for him in my opinion. I didn't even realize Adidas had that much money to throw around. Nigga lacks the charisma to be this marketable. Even LeBron only got like 90 mil, Durant like 75. Rose 250? What the fuck.
