Edgar will get in. He's the greatest DH of all-time.

On a separate note I'll be disappointed if Bagwell doesn't make it just cause he was involved in the steroid era, sure most people were probably doing it then, but you can't do a guilty till proved innocent type deal on guys who were never accused. Also, of course I hope Edgar makes it, how long do people stay on the ballot?

15 or if you get less than 5% of the vote. because Dave Parker was on the ballot for 15 years and got 15.3% last year and was cut from the ballot this year, as did my boys .. edgar got  

for the record Bret Boone, Tito Martinez, Jay Buhner & John Olerud have all been on the ballot and eliminated the same year.

Edgar in his first year got 36.2%, 2nd year 32.9% and this year his highest ever 36.5%. you need 70% to get in.

tho it took Bert Blyleven 14 years to make it and in his 3rd year only had 17.4% so....not to worried bout edgar just think he should be in it asap.

Juan Gonzalez was eliminated this year only getting 4.0%. i think its a shame he was a great player.

^ Yeah, well by stats alone Gonzales definitely deserves it, but anyone that has been named I don't see making it, whether or not they deserve it should be examined on an individual basis, but I don't see the voters giving enough support to the guys involved. The only reason I mentioned Bagwell was because he wasn't named in the report (to my knowledge).

Bagwell will eventually get in.  He jumped 75 votes this year.  No player has ever had that big a jump in a single year and not eventually gotten voted in
