i would like to see that techniec interview, i always thought that out the moon was the first official 2Pac retail remix death row ever made.

wanted dead or alive may be a remix, we don't know for sure yet, well most of us  ;)

1997, we saw made niggaz, starin and lost souls all released intact, and maybe out the moon and wanted dead or alive as well.  Amaru def remixed alot of rusd songs in 1997, but dr had nothing to do with those.

So maybe since DR didnt have anything to do with Still i rise, and the two songs on TGFR  were practically oG, UTEOT may be the first of death row putting 2pac vocals over beats he never heard.

DR kept it real , it seems they really tried to keep pacs songs pretty original sounding.

this means Amaru was the real ones wanting to remix the shit....
Not exactly, regarding TGFR, Friends was remixed (but since it wasn't remixed as heavily as the UTEOT version, a lot of people thought it wasn't that different) and Thug Nature was renamed and had J. Valentine (new Death Row artist at that time) replacing Val Young on the chorus.

lol the whodini sample is still in Hutchs version of friendz.  he just reworked the beat. and same with nature, the sample is the same.

in the end, they are practically og, they sound almost the same.

please post that tech interview where he confirms pac spit on the out the moon beat, that is good info!

Call it what you want, but "Friends" from Too Gangsta is a REMIX, not some tweaked variant of the original version.  Even if it did use the Whodini sample (which is barely audible since there are so many other overpowering elements), they started with the just that (as opposed to taking the actual Friends OG beat and "reworking" it) and added a lot of other layers that weren't on the OG beat.
