You should check out Snoop Dogg's and Wiz Khalifa's collabo album. Well, actually it's a soundtrack that they put for their movie. It had some smooth songs on it. Don't bother listenin' to Snoop's latest solo though.

Are you serious? Snoop's last solo album had some amazing songs on there... whereas that collabo album IMO sounds rushed. It's not nearly as good as Doggumentary.

Both of those albums had some good songs on them, but i thought Overseer might like the "High School" soundtrack better since he said "i do have a leaning towards funkier stuff". "Doggumentary" actually had a couple of smooth songs on it too though, but in my opinion it was really overrated and i didn't really like it except for a couple of songs.

right now my favorite rappers out the west that are new are

J.Stalin
Kendrick Lamar
and Hopsin

Nipsey had a good run of mixtapes but i havent heard anything new as of yet

I really enjoyed Snoops last album, a few generic songs but some good decent quality tracks too but the Wiz and Snoop soundtrack was doper

I wouldnt dare mention Lil B because i know you probably wont like him and will think its garbage but on a few songs he gots flowz like mutha fuckaz

also check --->
 Techniec/L's, Ill Camile, Terrace Martin ("4 luv suite" and "thoughts from.." EP), Quazedelic, Snoop/Wiz Khalifa duo album (better than "Doggumentary"), Soopafly latest album, Messy marv ("kokaine ballads" mixtape), Declaime album, Horseshoe Gang mixtape, and Kokanes latest album, last but not least, the E-40 albums (both of em).. Brotha Lynch Hung was quite dope too, alto  disapointing if ur not into horrorcore

finished the marathon of listening i was going through, so i'm hitting up these albums..

got game's on right now.. its solid, but nothing really stands out.

seems nuts he's got all these dre interludes with only a feature on "drug test" which ain't that good... (i guess this has been mentioned a zillion times on here already)

tbh I think the problem is they're trying to hard to make every song sound "epic" - overuse of strings for one

best track > born in the trap

It's not westcoast but check out big krit. He's got three dope street albums. Krit wuz here, return of 4eva and 4eva and a day.

He's the best new artist to come out in a very long time. I'd suggest starting with krit wuz here.Produces all his own music and has the lyrics and content to put him above the rest.
