Im pretty sure its illegal in usa .. i remember seeing a Cops episode where some dude spit on the cop and they charged him with assault by bodily fluids or some shit like that.

Yeah, while very rarely does anyone get hurt, you can be charged with assault if the victim feels like bringing charges upon you.  Whether saliva, urine or a tomato, it's a projectile that you're tossing at somebody in a situation that doesn't call for it.

One time some kids in a black Prius threw something at me (I think it was some pennies or something small), and I chased the car but obviously I didn't catch them.  My friend with me happened to call the police (even though I didn't ask him to but he's a white surfer kind of guy so he called 5-0 haha) and surprisingly the cops got the kids who did it within a minute or two and were asking if I wanted to press assault charges but I said no since it was dumb.  I asked if I could fuck with the kids but they said no, but they did say that they would make those kids' night as unpleasant as possible before sending them home, which they were happy to do.

Spitting on people in America is illegal, it's considered assault, mainly because of the risk of transmitting a disease (body fluid). So if the DA wanted to they could also add a additional charge of malicious attempt of spreading a disease.  This started becoming more or less a law do to the HIV/AIDS/STDs epidemic.
