R.I.P Hitman

R.I.P to Hitman of San Franciso rap group RBL Posse. He was shot while driving his car on Sunday. Hitman released two solo albums, Solo Creep in 1995 and H20 Vol 1 in 1999. Mr Cee of RBL Posse was killed in 1996 after being shot nine times.


A 24-year-old San Francisco man was shot and killed Sunday while driving his car in the Bayview district, according to San Francisco police.

Police said Ricky Herd was driving through the intersection of Hudson Ave. and Whitney Young Circle when he was shot in the head around 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police initially thought Herd had been involved in an automobile accident after a passer-by flagged down a patrol officer and told him about a nearby car accident. When the officer arrived at the scene, he found a red Toyota that had sheered off a light pole and landed on a tree. Inside the car was what appeared to be an unconscious man. But when paramedics arrived, they discovered the man -- later identified as Herd -- had been shot in the head.

Investigators later found three gunshot casings in the intersection, said Lt. Mary Stasko. Herd was taken to San Francisco General, where he was pronounced dead."

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

holy shit... what... damn... is this for real.. :'( i can't believe this, its horrible.. whys it always gotta be like? he was really talented, i've enjoyed everything hes dropped.... FUCK.. im shocked right now, my prayers go out to his family and to the whole rbl posse, his friends and everybody..

I'm lost 4 words man.....Been a real sad day in da bay.....We been bumpin RBL shit all day long.....I'ma keep bumpin tha whole night.....

I met Hitman in September, real laid back dood in a funny way, people waz tryin 2 get a conversation goin wit him and he acted like he's interested in what their saying but really he was checkin out chicks that walked behind em.....lol, dood waz real cool, had a natural character.....

I know he moved outta tha hood and apparently just started a family too, He started out so young and got his respect at a real early age, Just like Mr. Cee, It's a real tragedy, Only 24.....This shit gotta stop.....R.I.P
