anyone who follows basketball....fisher is a vital addition to a championship contending squad. he brings experience and veteran leadership, which is a major department oklahoma was lacking in. they also lost eric maynor for the season and needed a new back-up point. fisher was a great signing for the thunder.

Who cares?

lakers fans care, he is a laker for life.

so many unrecognized clutch shots, int he regular season, clutch shots that lead to game winners or other clutch shots in the regular season.

and i say regular season because we all know his clutch plays in the playoffs.

as a fan u never wanted to see him go, was in basically all the eras (except for his short departure), kobe shaq era, the losing era, the gasol era.

he is a class act, and probably the toughest guy on the laker squad, always took charges, and always put the opposing players in their place (i.e. scola in semi finals of 09)

and he was a leader, he was the only person on that squad on the perimeter that wouldn't just defer to kobe and give him the ball. and he was the only clutch player on perimeter. u think sessions, blake, ron, or barnes can make a clutch shot? a game winner? or 2 clutch shots in a row to seal it? no they can't, i mean they haven't proven themselves, besides sessions if they haven't done it this far into their career they probably wouldn't of.

derek fisher has done it more so than he has missed them.

now the thunders have a legit veteran leader thats been there done that not some old guy thats been in the league forever but has accomplished nothing, forget the statistics, he'll teach these guys the half court game, slow things down, trust your teammates, make the right decisions and be a leader (something durant and westbrook greatly need)

and now when it comes down to the wire, u have 3 players that can make a clutch shot down the stretch, durant, fish, and westbrook, and I'm sure harden would be out there as well if its the last shot of the game. or what not.

i never wanted fish to start this season, but i did still want him on the team. blake has been a blunder from the beginning, we don't need a guy like that, we need a guy thats aggressive.

i know farmar wanted a bigger role and money (ironic since him and ariza were the same but got thrown into whack ass teams that made no difference) but wow he made a mistake of letting him go, at least he was aggressive, young. he is a PG so whether or not he's looking to score, if he penetrates something will happen. and he looks for  his shot, whether or not thats a good thing coming from your PG it is certainly better than whackass blake. and brown, he can't dribble, shoot (only made wide open shots, and than when he thought he was a shooter, he basically though he was kobe) brown was a hustle guy, a good bench 2 guard and a cutter, nothing more, and when he thought he was more he became the vujacic 2.0 and it was worse than the original vujacic.

farmer fucked up, all he needed to do is wait a season or two and become the starting PG of this franchise. but then again fisher should of gave that spot up last season to farmar.

jim buss is really fucking it up. odom gone for nothing, trading fisher was disrespect but in a business sense it was good but the thing not good about that trade is we gave up the first round pick (via lamar odoms salary dump) for jordan hill? wow you got to be kidding me so in a sense we traded jordan hill for ODOM and FISHER AND A 1st ROUND PICK.

mcroberts and murphy i already knew they wouldn't be able to fill the whole that lamar left. murphys is just too scared to do anything to shoot even though he's been able to drive in and be more productive in the past, and mc roberts just has no offense i swear the only points he scored were alley oops and i think theres only been 2 of them.

picking up barnes was solid, but for ron, he's still has worth defensively but i literally don't know how u go from a 20ppg player to a 5ppg player just like that.

i still can't believe brown is still working on his rotation, man this guys such a joke. if it weren't for lakers being his team, i bet kobe would of laughed at the hiring. can't control kobe and kobe does not respect him at all, nonetheless the other players.

time to get a real coach in the off season.

but anyways i rather have a sessions/fish combo rather than blake (given that fish comes off the bench)

or just kept all 3 and have fish be a special player like those special nfl teams, bring him in for clutch moments or when we need a boost.

^They just didn't have the balls to awkwardly bench Fisher. Sissies.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

thats true, and fisher did bust a fit when GP took his starting job.

but I'm pretty damn sure fisher would of gave up his starting spot if that meant his ass being shipped out.

with that said thunders now have some legit veteran guidance. some one to look up to for answers and advice when their down in a 3-3 or 3-2 series to keep them mentally strong for the next game.

my only fault against the thunders was their inexperience, they and memphis got lucky playing fast break basketball last year(which i doubt any of the veteran teams would allow that to happen again) but its all going to be half court this offseason I'm assuming.

but we have no clutch perimeter option outside of kobe which really makes me worry.

the move for jordan hill was a SALARY DUMP...nothing more, nothing less. although it was cold blooded way we moved Fisher, we're in a much better position moving forward. MUCH better. anyways, the book aint out on mike brown....so far, he hasn't been bad. for a brand new team, he is doin pretty damn good. real fans are not writing this current team off right now... with the addition of sessions, we are contenders. yes, fisher was clutch, but right now, sessions quickness+athleticism > fisher's leadership+clutch factor. we don't need odom, those touches that went to odom are now going to BYNUM, AND IT'S PAID OFF. Odom would be getting about 20 mpg on this current roster, and we all know how Odom performs when he averages 20 MPG...LOL. the dude is a sensitive pansy, fuck him. yea next year we need to get a serviceable back up big, and a legit starting SF, and have ron (if hes still with us) back to the bench, mayb move barnes to the SG. i mean i wouldnt mind ron going, but he locks the defender down no doubt, i rather not go back to where kobe has to guard the best player anymore because hes just not gonna have his legs.

but i like glock, i wanthim to get burn but i dont think he'll be good as a back up PG, its not his game anyways.

but on a note, we're definitely spoiled as basketball fans.

im just gonna be really sad when kobe retires, i doubt any future player can take his place of being my favorite player

we will never see another kobe...but the bynum era is comin soon and domination will continue strong.

i like our team as it is now....would be nice to have another scorer/shooter off the bench and another big to back-up pau and bynum, but it's not something we NEED. would be more like a bonus luxury if we got that. we are in a great position. lets also not forget, jordan hill is a lottery pick and could be a serviceable back-up in the near future. i'd like for us to develop goudelock, as well. dude is great instant offense and a solid defender (though a bit undersized at the 2). we dont have star power at the 3, but we got artest and barnes holdin down that position nicely. we still have ebanks, who showed some arizaesque promise earlier in the season, but he hasn't had any real playing time since he was our starting 3. i also don't like troy murphy getting big minutes...u can tell he is either out of shape or past his physical prime. he's not rebounding or shooting at a consistent rate and he doesnt get after the ball. if people think pau is soft, what the hell do they categorize murphy as? although not as good a shooter, i like mcroberts out there much better. he gives u consistent hustle, always goes after it and adds a nice physical aspect to our bench. it's good to have garbage players like that....i wouldn't mind mcroberts and hill absorbing all of murphy's minutes, unless murphy can somehow turn it around and show some toughness out there. right now, murphy is like luke walton with a better shot to me. but we're in really good shape.
