Kendrick Lamar took the time out to speak to his self-proclaimed "day one" site, DubCNN, while on tour in San Francisco. We briefly caught up with Kendrick to hear how has been adjusting to his new found fame and how it has impacted his everyday life.

He also tells us about giving his family a chance to change their lives around, the dangers of materialism and what the fans can expect from Black Hippy in the near future. Go ahead and watch or read the interview below:

anyways cool lil interview nima, i really hope he blows the fuck up man he deserve it. when the fans want to see somebody else come up, thats something special but he got real talent and good people behind him. like he says man he's just a good kid from compton making good music and not the sterreotype compton gangsta rap. Good timing on the interview too with the rcipe just droping! peace!
