Warren G & Nate Dogg EP Update
« on: April 15, 2012, 01:36:20 PM »
"The west coast took a tremendous punch when iconinc G-Funk artist Nate Dogg passed away. Many thought that West Coast Hip Hop would never be the same without  Nate’s trademarked hooks. Now, Warren G has come forward to announced that he is working on releasing a sequel to the duo’s greteast hit “Regulate” featuring unheard hooks by the late Nate Dogg.

While talking to MTV’s Rapfix, Warren G went into detail with this project, explaining that many of the material being used in this EP was recorded in 2006, prior to Nate being severely ill. The album will be six to seven songs long and will be titled “Nate Dogg and Warren G” and plans to release it this June.  As of now, Warren also plans on having features by E-40, Too $hort, Young Jeezy, and Bun B.  The first single will be a track called “The Party We Will Throw Now” and it will feature The Game and Kendrick Lamar.

Warren G is also planning on releasing a second EP titled, “Regulate…. G-Funk Era Pt. 2″ which will mostly feature him.  So far, the rapper said that he has completed three tracks, one titled “The Westside Story” which will be similar to Dr. Dre’s famous album “The Chronic.” With help of Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and many other west coast legends, Warren G plans to bring West Coast Hip Hop back to its glory days."

Should be a dope EP, but the question is... if every track has a feature on it, is it REALLY "Nate Dogg and Warren G"?

"The Party We Will Throw Now" is such an awkward title for a song, dope to hear Kendrick is on it too 8). I wonder if Jeezy snatched up a Nate hook as payment for his verse on this for CTE World.

Cool, hopefully he can get his production back to what it once was, or at least close to it.
