Cube needs to focus and tap into what made him great 15-20 years ago
I know thats tough when youve become part of the machine and have a comfortable life but somehow the man needs to hone his lyrical game and find subject matter/concepts that will reinvigorate him. Last album was sloppy and cheap and proof Cube is well out of step with what West Coast fans and hip hop fans want from him at this point
Like Snoop and the Pound he sounds unsure of his musical direction and vision in the current enviroment, the cube I remember didnt follow trends he pushed boundaries and made people sit up and think, the cube I remember was one of the coldest storytellers to ever pick up the mic

Feel the same way, LNCL has been his best effort since recording again, Raw Footage had the one standout track, and err.. I am the West? Awful! Always been a big Cube fan, but he's really fallen off big time, if it was any other rapper but it's the guy who gave us Amerikkkas.., Death Cert.., Predator, Lethal Injection! After them 4 albums he started to fade, but the disappointment after LCNL was just shocking!

I'd really like him to do one off albums...

He was always intense with it, but family, hollywood has mellowed him and we may never see his greatness again. I hope I am proved wrong! Some of the lyrics and southern beats recently made me cringe.

After saying all that I will at least see what he brings cos hes better than 90% of the stuff out there. Maybe I am getting old...

I didn't say I didn't like anything else but Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It was just so raw. The fcat I cant really remember anything else off that album shows the change. His albums are no longer memorable.

To add to this, its ironic now he has loads of money hes using wackass beats, when he could really get any producer he wants.

I've liked the bits I have heard with Easki, a solid album with Ski producing would be welcome.

Also bring him and MC Ren were always nice with it. Ren replacing Mack 10 in WC would have been interesting!

I agree with most of the comments above.
Cube needs to go back to his roots, and not just release "another album".
No mores southern beats. His last 3 albums have been ruined by those beats, and it's really time to release a GREAT album, or else he should just call it quits.

Longer songs : have you guys noticed how short the songs were on I Am The West ? Man vs Machine could have been great, but it lacked another verse.

He also needs to make the difference between his job and his family. He's a father, and he probably wants his sons to follow his path, but seriously, they just aren't on the same level, and they ruined a couple of his songs on IATW. I really hope we won't hear them on the next one.

And just as someone said above, he used to be a great story teller. He just needs to remember why people loved his music so much from 1988 to 1993.

People who love and apreciate his music will take it...no matter how its wrapped and what paper its wrapped with...
he`s older now.. you cant expect him to do what he did in the 90`s..
and frankly i dont really remember listening to one of his tracks ever that i can seriously label as "garbage"...
