Shock G was ahead of his time with that shit
but maybe Dr Octagon,Bobby Digital and Quasimoto would disagree with the thread title
Melvin Flynt may of been the worse though

What made Humpty Hump unique was that a lot of people were confused and actually thought that they were two separate people... which contrasts to today's alter-egos where we know that they are the same person.

All respect to Shock G the legend!! Lil B is bringing back the alter ego with The BasedGod and Bitch Mob. Captain 66 hasn't been heard from in a while. Keke (the first tabby cat adopted by a hip-hop artist and signed to Lil B) got a video coming out this week to.  Lil B, Bitch Mob, The BasedGod, Keke = The New Untouchable BasedWorld Records.

Yes.

What made Humpty Hump unique was that a lot of people were confused and actually thought that they were two separate people... which contrasts to today's alter-egos where we know that they are the same person.

When I was a little kid back back in the late 80's/early 90's, I remember my grandmother re-telling a rumor that she had heard where Humpty lost his nose in an accident, and that's why he wore the fake nose.  The fact that people were buying into Humpty previously being in a car accident or a kitchen fire is hilarious, but it is also the reason why the the alter-ego was a brilliant and original idea at the time.  With the use of split-screens in the video and different camera angles, they were able to play up to it even more by having him and Shock G in the same video at the same time.

Shock G aka Humpty Hump was a genius the way he used them both at the same time in the same song. More then half the people that weren't full Digital Underground fans thought it was 2 different people. Yes alot of people bit Wu-Tang by doing an aka but not many if any USED A WHOLE ALTER EGO CHANGING THE PERSONA AS A WHOLE....

KOKANE has the most and is my favorite when it comes to changing his FULL PERSONA... LOL CANABIS COMIX

Yes he was because he was enjoyable to listen to. I'd rather listen to some one funny as fuck than someone tryna preach to me over some looped beat.
