This show would be incredible.  It had candid interviews with Suge, had Suge in the studio given advice to artists, had Suge recruiting artists for his label right off the streets.  They even whooped this dudes ass after he said he had to keep his shades on cause he was "stuntin".

Anybody have any info on if this show will ever see the light of day?

Suge's 1000x % completely blackballed dude... from everything; forever.

He ordered the hit on biggie. He hangs people off balconies. He's in and out of jail. He's a felon. Simply hanging around him will probably end up in your death (see: 2pac). He turns on everyone he's ever worked with and says horrible slanderous things about them publicly. He's a complete piece of shit human being.

All these things are common knowledge.

Furthermore he's proven that he has no actual talent or skill beyond intimidation. Once all the original DR artists left he couldn't rebuild that label. He tried and failed. He managed Petey Pablo, a fairly well known artist, and it destroyed his career. He's a failure who got lucky, one time, back in 91 when the DOC hired him as a security guard. Had that not happened you would have never heard of the guy.

Why would anyone ever work with him or support him or finance him in any way? You'd have to be a fool because he'll probably beat you then rob you then say horrible things about you afterward.

We probably will never see this show. Just like the B2K reality show. This is why artist / companies need to stop over-promoting everything in the digital era. You get your fans hops up for no reason.

Unfair thing to say. Name another one of Suge's artist that ended up getting murdered...Petey Pablo's career doesn't count for this discussion.

This part I agree with. Suge just doesn't strike me as someone who's matured enough to say "ok fuck it, let me calm down and just make my money and leave the bully era behind me".

I wouldn't mind watching this show, but I'm not exactly disappointed it didn't get picked up by a network.  Realistically speaking, Suge isn't interesting enough for people outside of the hip-hop community to follow.  And even within that community, maybe three-fourths of them don't really give a fuck about him anymore, or the mediocre artists he's picked up along the way.

Chances are, all that you really wanted to hear Suge talk about was likely discussed on that recent KDAY interview with him.  If you want to see fights, then just go on YouTube and pretend that the guy is Suge.

I would like to see a show where Suge just sits with a cigar and slates all the former DR artists.

The things he says about them are total bullshit but they are funny as fcuk lol!

It was Suge's cavorting with Compton Bloods that got 2pac murdered, that's undisputed.

Everyone on Death Row from Crooked I to Dre to the Dogg Pound and Snoop has talked about how Suge's Compton Blood affiliation has put them in dangerous and life threatening situations... simply by virtue of being associated with the guy.

Suge managed Left Eye too, remember? Everyone from her TLC band mates to family to friends and fans all unanimously were outspoken in saying she was putting herself in danger and her career in jeopardy. Sure enough, career crashed and burned faster than a led Zeppelin and death wasn't far behind.

Suge also managed Ray J and lil bow wow briefly. Both of whom got lucky as it only stunted their careers and held them back from success, as apposed to destroying them all together. The second they cut ties with Suge they blew up.

Suge's a loser dude. He's got no actual talent.

There's definitely some truth to that, but you are only presenting the negative.  Let me present the other side...

-Most of the rappers Suge worked with claimed to be gangsta's or at least claimed to involve themselves in activity similar to that of gang members (drugs, guns, beefs, rolling deep, etc.).   So Suge simply represented that lifestyle and basically made it real.  While on the other hand you are saying he should of been fake and just kept it on record.

-Look at every artist from the Death Row era.  You say Suge was just lucky to be connected with them.  But at the same time, the best work that they ever did was when they were on Death Row.   Dre's best work was on Death Row, Snoop's best work was on Death Row, the Dogg Pound, Nate, 2pac, and so on all did their best work on Death Row.  Suge made the music more real because he created the environment that they were talking about on records.  So it just wasn't on wax, Suge was actually running his business like a Mob Boss.  So artists on Death Row were fearless against competitors, because they knew Suge had their back.  Now, all those great x-Death Row artists would never challenge a label like Cash Money the way they used to challenge East Coast artists/labels.

-If Suge was given a fair chance like he was given in the 90's Suge could surely be a huge success once more.  The problem is just like you said, the industry has blackballed him.  So he hasn't been given a fair chance since he went back to prison in 96.

-Most the people Suge has had beefs with Suge did have a reason for it.  It's not like he was just beefing with cats like Russel Simmons.  He always respected Russel and had peace with businessmen like that.  Suge either beefed with you because you were a trader, like someone who abandoned Death Row, or because you were trying to bring fakeness to the game like Puff with the shiny suits and all weak shit that took over after Suge left.  Rightly or wrongly he followed the rules of the streets.  If your in a gang and you leave that gang then you got beef.  Which is what happened with Snoop and Dre.  I love Snoop and love Dre, and I think Suge is evil for beefing with them, but still I understand why Suge did it.  And no man is perfect.  We all have good and bad.

So let me get this straight.  You guys are all hating on Suge for living the lifestyle that 80% of rappers claim to portray?   Listen to Puffy's No Way Out album.  Suge was actually living the life Puffy was claiming to portray on that hit record.

So Puffy is good because he was a fake studio gangsta and Suge is bad because he actually lived it?

Are you really going to blame Suge for Left Eye getting in a car crash that took place in another country? Seriously?

Suge never "managed" Ray-J, he tried to sign him to the new Row but momma Sonja wasnt having that. Bow Wow was fuckin 5 years old, he didnt stunt his career, no one was gonna buy a 5 year old rappers album even if it did have a Death Row logo on the back.

But you know who he did manage? DJ Quik while he was working on Safe & Sound ... Yeah the same album most would consider his best album (although mine is Rhythmalism).

"Suge was too real for corporate America"

A quote that was correct. He had good points, and bad points, but one thing he had was a good ear for music, and a presence and attitude to hold power to a black owned label, turn it into a power house with the assistance of artists/producers, and didn't back down and sell out. A reason he was shut down very quickly.

People always talk about "look at those 2Pac live & remix albums Suge put out"... People have to realize that those were simply cash generators to keep the label going with what was legally available to them at the time, but when you look at what was approved by Suge before IE: Those 2Pac tracks on Chronic 2000, and Too Gangsta 4 radio, there's no denying that 2Pac's music was better in the hands of Death Row in terms of quality, and OG sound, especially when comparing it to the Amaru fk ups. It wasn't just Suge, but it was the legal teams, the accountants and everyone else leeching off of Artists and the label as a whole including courts, Afeni, former artists, political and corporate America squeezing all the money and power out of the label, which didn't help matters. The quality of the music was always there, even in the new era, but no one would pick the albums up... He could have gave in, and bent over and sold out and saved the label (It'd still be running today if he done so in 95), instead he continued doing what he always done and now the label is dead. As soon as politicians and all those other suits wanted it shut down, it didn't take long
