That's probably a huge reason why the album is still not complete. No one wants to hear Dre being this new sober Andre because we all know him as the weed man, but at the same time no one wants to hear a 47 year old rap about partying and being high. So what does that leave? He needs to do a more serious album, almost like a chronicle of his career.

was dre ever really a heavy weed smoker? i know he smoked weed, but i always got a feeling that most of it was exaggerated. i remember hearin that he didnt like snoop smokin' weed all the time, until snoop finally got dre to try it out. but i never pictured him as a heavy smoker, more like an occasional smoker who exaggerates his habit for the music. a studio stoner, if ya will.

Dre's last few songs had references 2 chronic & smoking.

That is basicly what he has promoted his whole career.

But his own son died probably from an overdose. That gotta sting a little bit!

And he still raps and promotes that lifestyle.
I think deep down he doesn't believe in it anymore.
And it shows in his songs...production.
When you are not that motivated.. it won't come out as when you are eager.
But then again I could be wrong.

Yeah, actually if i remember right he said in one of his interviews that he smokes every now and then, but not all the time.

You are right about that, but......he promoted a lifestiyle were it was ok 2 do drugs.
Even pills... and his son died of od on extasy pills when he went clubbing.
