I guess you're in America, or nearby, right?
Well, if you got a VCR video player, I can send you a video of a world cup match.
There's three types of cricket match, btw.
A) First Class: 4-5 day matches, played with two "innings", so each team bats twice. The aggregate wins. This can result in a draw if there's no result at the end.
B) Limited Overs: Each side gets a limited number of 6-ball sets. If their innings isn't over on wickets fallen, it ends at the end of the allotted numbe rof overs. The World Cup is limited overs.
C) One Innings Cricket: Played by all the village teams and stuff. Each team plays one innings to its end, over any number of overs. Usually played in high summer, from lunchtime to dinnertime.
