Yeah this was when Kurupt actually knew how to rhyme and not talk about tyrannical mechanical fucking in the hammock type of shit.

The Videos is what really should be released, Death Row had a tone of classic videos under they belt, I've always wondered how much unreleased videos they got. I mean we all know what was in the vaults (We've seen the track listings time and time again) but nothing on videos/potential commercials.

The whole DPG sounded hot then. Dre's mentoring was the best start they could've ever had.

No doubt.. I actually remember discussing with my friends who was our favorite, Daz or Kurupt.  I could never decide but I think I kind of leaned toward Daz, cause Daz had more melody in his voice and that appealed to me more as a 12-14 year old than Kurupts raw lyricism.

A couple more thoughts...

-This video also looks like the same setting from Dre's "Let Me Ride" video when he overlooks the valley, you can kind of see it in the backdrop.

-Who's that girl in the black dress?  She's damn fine.

Yeah definitely shot the same day as the Let Me Ride video, i know because that same red headed white dude is in that too. Who was that guy? Just reminds me of the Chappelle bit, he must have done some wild shit to earn their respect.

They're in different clothes but I'm sure they probably just went in the trailer and changed out for each video.

I Think he was just apart of the Car Club who's lowriders were used in the video. Almost all lowriders in those music videos belonged to real riders and car clubs. You can see em throwing up their plaques in those type of videos almost always, if in the video their is a crowed, however like It was a Good Day that car was a lowrider if I Remember correctly called "Family Jewel" or something long them lines, belonged to a car club (I can't remember which one, it was a black chapter and not a mexican 1 though, probably The Majestics). I've never found out what the name of the black lowrider was in the Let Me Ride video (I Know it probably does belong to a club though).

Also Daz always had good flow, it's just his lyrics were always questionable.

  • not quite that fly.

I always took that as a shot at ATL, especially since he says "So what you want to throw up, claiming you are Kokane or Cavi when you blow up?" a couple of lines after it.
