Drake is overseeing the new Aaliyah project that is supposedly coming up. Leave it to Drake to simp a chick that's been dead for 11 years. Anyways, here's the first single. Cool track IMO except for Drake taking shots at Chris Brown in his verse.

Just saw this from an interview with Timbo.

"Timbo didn't take the news of Drake's involvement on the record too well. He said that if Drizzy wants to move forward with the Aaliyah record, he feels that he and Missy Elliott should be involved, as they were two of Aaliyah's most frequent collaborators.

“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if [Drake] do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy,” he said. “I don't know what's going on. The proper way to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. For it to be on his record, that would not be right." "

If Tim and Missy aint involved that is kind of fucked up! Are these all unreleased tracks?

I didn't think there were many unreleased tracks out there. I think someone from her estate was approached by Drake to do this and given his popularity, thought it would be best to have him Exec Produce it so more people could be exposed to Aaliyah's work.

Drake? SMH

People that actually knew and worked with her should be overseeing any project involving her.  Tim and Missy are a must and should be handling the majority of the tracks.  If Static were still alive, I'd say him as well.
