I'll give you the players who wouldn't receive a 90+:

Jason Williams
Richard Hamilton
Hedo Turkoglu
Peja Stojakvic
Richard Jefferson
Kenyon Martin
Ron Artest
Robert Horry
Caron Butler
Tyson Chandler
Brad Miller
Big Z
Andre Miller
Rasheed Wallace
Mike Bibby
Marcus Camby
Antawn Jamison

All mid-80's players in their absolute prime. Anything higher & they'd be overrated in my book.

these players should all be above mid-80's in their absolute prime. based on 2k12's ratings, i can see why u say that, though...but in my book, superstars should be 95-99, 2nd tier stars 90-94, third tier 85-89 and so forth.....if wade was a 96 this year, then all those players listed should be AT LEAST 90

for ron, would his stat points mostly go to athleticism and defense? because i remember him only averaging 20 points and other years 19 and 18 ppg.

but jamison i can def see him being 90 in his prime considering he was beasting in 2000s remember when he and kobe scored 50 on each other? shit was crazy

I'm not going by 2K's ratings. I'm saying if I was making the game, I'd have those guys mid-80's. I'm sure 2K may have given them over a 90, but that's too much for me. Those guys to me are just nice to have on your team, I don't know if they were second-tier stars in their primes.

It's weird though, because to me LeBron, Durant & Kobe pushed the first-tier so high, it feels like everyone I mentioned doesn't deserve to be a step/tier below them.

THEY ARE ALL SECOND-TIER STARS...MEANING THEY WERE, AT THE VERY LEAST, ALL-STARS IN THEIR PRIME (SOME EVEN WERE FRANCHISE PLAYERS ON THEIR TEAM)

RASHEED WALLACE IN HIS PRIME, MID-80S? ANTAWN JAMISON AVERAGED 25-10 IN HIS PRIME...RON ARTEST=DPOY IN HIS PRIME. PEJA STOJAKAVIC WAS AN MVP CALIBER PLAYER IN HIS PRIME. MID 80S? LOL...I DUNNO ABOUT ALL THAT.

Artest was only a 89 rating back in 2k7 and 2k8, i dont think he ever reached over 90, but i know if you know how to play with him you could shut down almost anybody and once i got him hot i made like 9out of 11 3's with him...

thats not the case so much now lol but he still a bad ass defender on the game

i personally thought Richard Hamilton was only good on 2k7 (he was a beast on 3's too) but they always made him weak after every game after that, he cant defend, and his shot release got worse to figure out over the years, im thinking i probably just suck with him now unless anyone else agree's but i use do drain crazy 3's with him

when i use to play street with my boys back in the 2k7 days my squad would be Nash, Hamilton, Artest, Horry, and Rasheed (or Shaq for rebounds just depended) and i would kill all my friends killin those 3's... i miss those old 2k7's when it was so easy to do special dunks and make 3's and shit...

2k12 was a step up from the shitty 2k11 but 2k7 and 2k10 will always be my favorites

and how the hell can you say 2k13 is better when its not even out yet?

lol, this kid is so wild.

End of the day, nobody I mentioned was ever just a "step below" LeBron, Durant or Kobe.
