For me... Doggystyle All Stars... they brought the music I wanted... some westcoastt shit... where as Snoop came real different on his solo... not to diss, but you want snoop, you want that westcoast flavor, he didn't change the game on his album, he straight stole it from the east

i like paid the cost. i was really disappointed with the all-stars. i expected a fresh west coast cd but it was all pretty tired. only tracks i liked were raised on the side and dogghouse america.

paid the cost isnt great but it had some bangers like Stoplight, Beautiful, Wasnt your Fault, Boss Playa, Miss That Bitch, Chuuch... so it gets a higher replay value from me

I like Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$ better because all the songs are fresh  and Production like "Wasnt Your Fault" and "Hourglass" show that they can create a new sound wich is what the WestCoast needs right now

i bumped Doggystyle All Stars WAAAAAY longer than paid the cost and i liked all stars a lil more i mean da boss was good it had bangers but i thought all stars had more bangers

I dont really agree with that.  IMO Snoop made a bi-coastal album than anyone world wide can enjoy.  It depends on yoru taste, If you str8 westcoast head, then you prolly aint feelin Paid the Cost, but for me........I enjoy tons of musci and I thought Paid the Cost was a dope album.

How can you say Snoop stole from the east?  Snoop been around long enough he can make whatever music he wants.  Infact people from the east have been stealing Snoop lines and formula for years.

BTW, do people want Snoop to keep making the same album over and over again?  Or do people want him to be on some "new shit" and change with the times?

Personally, I want Snoop (or anyone else) to keep moving with the times and keep bringing us new music to listen to.

Doggystyle and Death Row days was damn tight, but if Snoop kept making Doggystyle albums over and over again, Id be like "shit, this dude needs to change and come with some new shit".  Snoops like 6 solos deep in the game, plus Eastsidaz and Dre albums and all other shit hes featured on....Hes got to keep changing the formulas and bring some new shit IMO

I've realize sumthin most...of the kids on this board are fans of the old sound wich is 10 years old..its 2003 so its kinda normal that Snoop is tryin to get a new fan base since the sound has changed..

Just enjoy the music and accept the man for what he is not what he was

....we all know that artists and their music goes through changes...thats nothin new.
i accept the man for what he is...no question...but i still dont like his new sound....and thats the only reason why i cant enjoy these two albums.
