E-40 & Too $hort: "History" double album drops November 6!

E-40 and Too $hort will be releasing their long awaited collabo album "History" (formerly titled The History Channel) on November 6. The album will be divided into two seperate discs, as we know it from recent E-40 releases. One album got the subtitle "Mob Music" and is gonna contain songs with a more 90's and old-school oriented sound, while the other is called "Function Music", which is said to be more modern such as E-40's "Function" single.

Would probably have worked better as a double album but the two-album idea, I guess, makes more sense on a business level.

I gotta admit that even though I'm still hyped to hear a collabo album of these two, I'm already a bite disappointed. To me, it looks more like another E-40 release just WITH Too $hort. The album titles don't have shit to do with $hort... Mob Music is what 40 did in the 90's and early 2000's and this Function Music is just a qucik term 40 invented after his "Function" single blew up. Also the cover artwork seems like it was made by the same guy who did the shit for 40's last albums. I hoped they would come with it in a more "neutral" way, really more like a duo album. But to me it really seems like 40 took the charge.

Anyway, that doesn't mean it will be bad, I'm still gonna bump that shit and I still think there will be lots of dope songs on there with a gazillion of remarkable lines.

I gotta say the beat knocks, 40 sounds weird in the beginning. Would have been nice if they switched the beat up for the hook or for the third verse, cause it definitely has potential. like this it sounds a bit rushed. it's gonna knock in the trunk though.
