Illuminati 2G is here with Horseshoe Gang, how’s it going fellas?
We chilling.
Why don’t you guys introduce yourselves to everybody.
Yo this is Julius Luciano
What’s good, it’s Dice Dinero in the building!
Yessir, Demetrius what’s poppin
You guys have your new album coming out entitled True Story, on September 11th. Tell me a little bit about how the album came together for you.
The album we titled it True Story because it is something we say in our everyday convo. Just like True That or Word Up, when we say something, we end it with True Story. We put it on Twitter alot, #True Story, and at the same time the topics that we are talking about on the album are real life issues.
We have a song called Homeless, where we talk about growing up homeless. We have another song talking about having a down chick as well and all of the stories are true.
Do you guys have any upcoming singles or videos set to drop from the project?
Yessir, we just put out a song called Sunglasses & Advil. It is produced by Skewer and we are going to shoot a video for that real soon and we already shot a video for Homeless.
You guys are known for your cyphers. If you could do a cypher with I say a max of 3 MCs other than yourselves, who would you pick and why?
Demetrius: 3 MCs? I would say to rap with us Jay-Z, Eminem, and Twista.
Ok. You guys have any other picks or yall cool with that pick?
Julius Luciano: I see Jay-Z, Eminem and Twista and I raise you Nas, Lil Wayne, and Tech N9Ne.
Woah!
Dice Dinero: Ok, let me raise them and go with Jay-Z, Eminem and Crooked I
Wow. You just mentioned Crooked, what is it like working with him and what is the process you guys go through in making music with him?
Getting in the studio with Crook, contrary to what other people think, he is not like a drill sergeant or anything. When we are in there with him, there is a little bit of competitiveness, but it is a comfortable environment because we are all about business.
At the same time, we are all brothers, and we have been rapping all our lives. I believe that is why our chemistry is so good.
Absolutely. We are 9 months into 2012 and alot of good west coast music has come out already. What’s your thoughts on west coast hip hop in 2012?
I will say that west coast hip hop is definitely better this year than in the last 2 years. Right now you have cats like Tyga doing his thing, Kendrick Lamar is about to drop, YG is out there. Alot of cats are making noise and the last 5 years the west coast has been overlooked.
This year we have had a couple artists and groups that are representing. Slaughterhouse just dropped and that is going to make it that much better for us for our new album.
Do you have any upcoming shows or tour dates?
We have a upcoming show in Scottsdale, Arizona with Twista on October 5th.
What is your website information?

Alright well that is all the questions I have for you, appreciate you getting down for the interview. Is there any last words or shoutouts you want to get out there to the people?
We want to shout out everybody out there that is following us on Twitter. All the C.O.B. cats, Treacherous Records, Slaughterhouse, and shout out to Illuminati 2G, big ups to yall.
Appreciate the interview, looking forward to the new album.
For sho, good looking out dog, that’s what’s up.
