aight heres my problem...( fo xp person mostly)

i went to my brother's house to install winxp but since i install it , i couldn't connect to internet,tha shit just won't work... whut do i have to do to connect on internet with a cable connection.. no password , no phone #,, just the connection.... i cannot surf on the net

that shit don'T work,, we do click the check box with no need for password or anything...  i know more then one people got this problem so just hit me out pleez

ok open internet explorer, click on tools/internet options/connections(tab)/and click "LAN settings"  

uncheck everythin execpt "automaticaly detect settings"

try that, it happened to me too, but it got alrite widin 24 hours ...  :-/ ...

when i first installed my cable modem i had tha same problem,  call tha cable company an have them lead you through it while you do it, thats what i did.

yo, if u wanna set up the internet via a cable on your pc first, hav u registered it?..if u hav then its cool if u havent ring em up or find out the adress of the web site where u can register online.. your internet will be up n running its just sometimes the cable companies are bitches and make u register first before u can use the service..then  restart your pc......same happened with my modem

if that dont work?..then try ringing some1 with extensive knowledge on cable connections or  try ringing the cable support line..luckily for me..the cable company's exec engineer lives 2 doors down

yess.. but  i just finish talkin with em on the phone with my bro , n they say that the problem is with them usb ports n he got to buy another one.  so now my bro   doing this shit , hope this will work
