It is a stone cold classic. SMH @ anyone rating this below 8/10. Best hip-hop album in six years.

Its neither. I'd only give it 7.5/10

AND Nas' Nigger album and Roots Undun (off the dome) are better, and they only came out in last 4 years...hell Undun is just under a year old

Kendrick is great but it ain't classic/masterpiece status fam. It's great he's gettin his limelight as a newer artist, but people be trippin

Album is farrr from weak.  I respect the young dude for doing REAL hip hop in this day and age of bullshit rap about materials over the same ole lex luger trap beat.....GKMC 1 of the best albums I've heard in years, to be honest I rank Section 80 over GKMC.  I got Section 80 9.5 GKMC 9......I fucks with all Top Dawg ENT shit Black HiiiPPy is them dudes.  I'm still banging Soul's Control System I have that ranked high for release of the year.....

I have to admit  I was disappointed with this album.  Probably unfair to Kendrick, because my expectations were so high. I don't think the album sucks or was terrible, but I thought that with Dre behind him they would put out a better album.  The good news is that this is only his first of many albums, and he still has time to improve.
