Mr. Wright has plenty of unheard/unreleased tracks in the vault. I cant remember the DJ's name but hes and an old school cat out of cali!He said he had tons of unheard tracks but said  that he would probably never release them. Who knows what tamica is doing over @ruthless but I would say that dj is the only chance at getting any useful recordings of eazy-e . Damn shame too, I dont care if the man could write his own lyrics or not, that voice made everything sound good! He was also a monster marketer! He played the game! The game never played him! Except for bitches who do us all in!

rhythm d...he claimed to have a whole bunch of eazy material which he was planning to release. there mighta been some1 else, i dont remember, but i know rhythm d said he had material at one point.

i remember when this album was extremely hard to find....i got a hold of it on ebay and was happy as hell. anything eazy goes.

maybe they'll put a song out on the NWA Soundtrack

Man, I've got to respectfully disagree with most of you.

When NWA fell apart, I wasn't siding with anyone. I was buying everyone's music. Ren, Cube, Dre, Eazy. So I wasn't biased in any way. And when this EP came out, it was a HUGE let down. The fall off in production quality and lyrics was arguably the biggest we had ever seen and have ever seen (Eazy Duz It to this?).

That being said, Eazy redeemed himself with the 187um EP...largely because there was a g-funk influence courtesy Rhythm D and Hutch from ATL.

IMO, Ren made the best transition post Dre...Kizz My Black Azz and Shock of The Hour were both pretty impressive efforts considering they were entirely the work of Ren, unlike all previous NWA and NWA solo efforts to that point in time.

What was the exact date this came out?  December 10th or 28th

But i think we can all agree that it wasnt his best effort.  Which is crazy becuz i think they all were trying to prove sumthing becuz they all went Solo.  E probably wasnt a real producer like that so he probably put most of his trust into Yella, Hutch, etc.  Not saying he didnt have an ear or eye for talent.

I've said this before but its kinda unfair to judge his released material.  A 4 song ep, A 5 song ep with 2 interludes and a remix, and an incomplete release of songs for a triple LP (excluding his debut, "greatest hits/best of early Eazy-E", and remix ep).  Him and Big have the same issue but Biggie's had it waaaaaaaaay better than E.

They need to go ahead and put that "Neighborhood Sniper" video up on "Week In Jams" and on the radio.  "BackSpin" Radio needs to have a TV Station or something

Yeah its safe to say that out of all of the members in NWA excluding Prince & Yella that its obvious that Eazy had the weaker catalog between them four if u count Dre rapping and actually producing between Deep Cover and the California Love Remix.  I'd even think most people would agree that "Neighborhood Sniper" is the best song

I also agree that Ren hasnt gotten his good due either, and when Eazy went on it fucked it up for him.  Along with not incarnating some of that PFunk flava tha South has with Crunk music when it was first started to pop off ("Bia Bia" days).  Ren's early EP and albums were like a building block to the sound of hardcore hip hop.

**** "Only If U Want It" is missing reverb in the beat, its aw stiff

Yeah neighborhood sniper was the best song on there. Those reggae dudes went off. And if I remember right Treach wrote the lyrics to only if u want it and Kay Gee produced it...but u can tell Treach wrote the lyrics just from the first few bars "can I get eye open up, Eazy loc'n up, smokin up what..." that's vintage Treach and he prolly coulda ripped that verse but instead you got Eazy and it just sounds like he's chasing the flow the whole time not really ridin the beat.
