40 Glocc - The Jakal (2003)
« on: January 20, 2013, 01:24:22 PM »
We all by now know that 40 Glocc's career is over, but let's go back to 2003 and talk about his first release called "The Jakal". Most people probably don't even know about this album and haven't heard it. It's been a year or two since i heard it the last time, but it actually has great songs on it. Production by Dr. Dre, Battlecat, Prodeje of SCC and others and features from Kurupt, Tray Deee, Bad Azz, Spice 1 and others. What does everybody think about this album?

I got the CD (or maybe I sold it). Anyway I had this and those bangin beats were wasted on 40 Cock.

Not much more to say. He makes it unbumpable.

this was a dope album.. a shame 40 wasnt able to build on his potential- he was never great, but sorta like Game, he had a solid ear for beats and was able to craft together nice cuts. but bad career choices played a part in his lack of expansion.. ima give this album another spin, now that u brought it up, it's been a while.

that album had some real nice beats and features, the Dre track was cool but I always felt that it didn't really sound mixed right?

thats cuz dre didn't mix it....he just gave him a leftover beat from "2001".....always felt it was one of dre's worst productions, but going back, it's still a dope cut. same with "finer thangz"
