Africa 2012/2013 Traveling Book Of Rhymes

Gonna be posting some rhymes inspired by my recent journey to the beautiful West Africa! I was blessed to receive a lot of inspiration from the motherland and it's all been converted or in the process of being converted to rhyme. From my 3rd floor apartment patio balcony I experienced one epiphany after another...
Many nights staring at the moon from this location, brought peace of mind and tranquility. Also creative intelligence to right more and give more of myself to others to make this world a better place. As Phil Collins says on "Land of Confusion" this is the world we live in, these are the hands we're given, USE THEM AND LET'S START TRYING TO MAKE IT A PLACE WORTH LIVING!!

Experiencing dramatic energy shifts
Remind myself to open my eyes, just exist
but my thoughts drift
highs and lows
life was so slow
now it's sped up tenfold
"Just open your eyes" I keep reminding myself
Try not to think because thinking doesn't help
Just want to exist, feel life in it's fullness
Can't react with boldness
Just trying to keep up
Eating large meals to keep me gassed
Sometimes I don't even know where I'm at
But if I can trust these eyes
then they bring me up so high
I can thank God as I fly through the clouds

Guess I know what he means now
Life is beautiful when your eyes are above your thoughts
Instead of trying to tell your psychee things are what they are not
Lost in a sweet transition to another coast
Feet don't fail me now as I step in the boat
Discordination need to grab hold of something to keep me steady
Mama Africa I'm here now even if my mind isn't quite ready!

Good to read u on that positive vibe instead of that 'my life is not what I want it to be' or 'out of your control' type thing I'm used to seeing.

It's not really me being more positive. It's just that different places bring different vibes, different people have different vibes. It's going to be a challenge now adjusting back to being here in America but at least for some time my mind will be fresh and I can look at things with a fresh perspective. How long it will take to get contaminated again? Not sure, sometimes it takes a couple months, other times I can make it several months. I'd like to make the good vibes permanent one day, eventually.

Is my mantra to make today better
be a good person no matter the weather
there is always one way that's better
just have to be clever and find it
to be reminded what equilibrium feels like
It feels like a night of good sleep
When I can wake up and just think
And just pondering the African cultural life,
things like; their never giving specific times, for anything?
Does that inspire them to cling more faithfully
unto Allah and their destiny?
Just some pleasant thoughts I can get lost in on carefree mornings
