The Bay deserves & has earned 2 be the new face of Cali Hip Hop music & culture

I think Northern California (particularly The Bay) is a more accurate depiction of Cali outside of LA County by a hair or two.  Musically theyre just fresher and culturally their more so of what the future and future of Cali is gonna be like.  They have a better chance of dominating Hip Hop today than Southern California which seems to be the only thing on California's and The West Coast's minds. 



I think itll be easier for them to incorporate other rappers from fellow States just for the simple fact that The Bay isnt synonymous with gangbangin.

bay area dont have artist liek kendrick lamar.Im from LA & i feel the bay always been good.LA is the westcoast tho.LA gonna always be the face of cali.im not feeling the new bay area rappers but i give them credit because they westcoast.LA artist should help bring the bay up like in the 90"s.LA & the bay use 2 always work together.kendrick lamar should put some bay artist on a single or something because kendrick is the biggest artist the westcoast right now

If Kendrick is the ONLY guy u can name then u lost.  The business is about a certain sound, Tha Bay's sound is universal over there and its mainstream. 


U forgettin about Dom Kennedy and his simple rhymin ass.  He's nice with his music and he's from by there.  But he's not my point either.  The Bay just has more commercial appeal and a better culture even tho i love LA

I'm from the bay and the rappers here are on some crabs in a bucket shit. No one can get it together to present a cohesive sound. There is talent, but too much bullshit

most Bay Area artists are bound to stay local and thrive independently like they always do... they've always been blackballed one way or another. they have no chance of dominating Hip Hop, and I love the Bay. but as Mac Dre said in general it's "too hard for the radio". The biggest rappers in the Bay nowadays are the Livewire cats, J. Stalin, Philthy Rich, the Jacka,  etc. they're killing the independent circuit and i'm sure they must be making serious money but they have no mainstream appeal. The rappers with mainstream appeal in the Bay didn't blow up when they were supposed to : YA Boy, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah Fab and Messy Marv.

i could name more than kendrick.i used him as an example because he the biggest rap artist right now.the only rap artist thats bigger than him is wayne & drake.but the bay cant name nobody thats in the mainstream.i could name people like the game,even tyga is larger than any bay artist.Im only naming artist thats mainstream & be on t.v.i could name dom kennedy & thousand of other artist tho.I love the bay.dont get it twisted.the bay do deserve more shine than its getting but LA gonna always be the face of cali.

one things for sure IMHO The Bay kicked more game and had alot of less fake ass studio gangsters. thats why the appeal was kinda taken away from them by major labels. they just too fucking real #RT
