What made him driven to win was that he grew up poor and came up the hard way. He used education as his tool to do what he wanted, and he loved the Lakers before he even bought them. His son doesn't have that drive. I just hope he shuts his mouth and lets Mitch run the team because he has no idea what he's doing.

It looks like Jim Buss is screwing up just fine.  But just to make sure Jim Buss does the lakers like Dyke Brown does to the bengals, i'd be ok with it  .   Mainly want that to happen because of the behavior of most laker fans.  Plus they won enuff championships as is.  They need 2 go away for a long time anyway. 

But on a serious note, this is a sad time.  Whether you're still a laker fan or you went to the other side like I did in early 92.  So much for praying for someone to get better & it don't work    I never had a problem with Jerry Buss.  Very great owner, others can learn from him.
Well someone has 2 say it, too bad it wasn't the clippers owner instead  . 

And also what I don't like about Buss dying is fake ass whaq having condolensces for Jerry as if he was always cool with him.  Last time Whaq said anything about Buss is nothing but criticism cause Jerry wouldn't overpay him with $30 million a season.  Its Jerry's fault that Grape Ape didn't get his fatass in shape or wanna improve his foul shooting.  He'd rather cheat by stepping over the line instead.  Saying the heat's owner is the best owner in sports cause he overpaid whaq.  And being jealous that Jerry would get younger chicks like Hugh Hefner    Hey....maybe Jerry liked asian chicks & they don't age very well    Best to get them young
