Who got info on that lynch/black market situation
« on: February 21, 2013, 09:49:29 AM »
albums like ebk4 or the virus was released by black market without lynch's input...i heard that some of the tracks was just unreleased stuff, while other songs got stolen by black market..
on "gotta die soon" (virus) lynch was dissin black market, even tho it was a black market release. i always knew there was something shady about it lol
anyone got some more information about that situation?

usual CEO/artist conflict. Cedric Singleton fucked Lynch over his publishing rights and royalties.

basically those albums were a mix of unfinished songs/finished tracks that Lynch probably didn't own in writing that the label still had exclusive rights to release and Lynch didn't feel like buying all his own music back when he finally left the label

fucked up too cuz those albums had potential to be bangin' rather than just some of the material being worth keeping

ok, but there  are songs that he definetly recorded when he already left the label...like "gotta die soon" he says something like "fuck black market, but shoutout to x-raided"

Im a huge Lynch fan and I know this is not a popular opinion but I loved EBK4. It is my favorite Lynch album even though some of the songs arent really finished/polished etc and Lynch didnt endorse it.

Loved that shit.

Lynch still had contractual ties to Black Market therefore they owned any and all music he had stashed, they probably didn't give a fuck about that since they were already milking him $$$
