Man, as somone who has been on this forum for over 5 or 6 years, and seen this forum go from the SOURCE for westcoast news, music and DISCUSSION, this place has really taken a fall....Cant blame anyone, since i havnt been posting here very mcuh if at all lately...

But with the Westcoast making a come back, largely due to newer generation making impact. Kendrick is the leader of the West next generation, but there is alot of other artist that are making noise...Problem been dope for awhile, but hes finally getting attention he deserves. I myself been sleeping and havnt checked out Million Dollar Afro till recently and only because in Southern California, where i live. I been hearing  alot of postive feedback on the album and artist IamSu! Checked it out today and this is some quaility music right here, and this is what the new generation wants to hear. People in age group of 17-29 are loving this tape and this sound....Lets hope the westcoast can keep on this path and continue to release new dope music and get the attention it deserves.

Who do you think is next in line to blow from the west? Do you thimk the west is going no where? Whats your opinion on Million Dollar Afro?Who else is making noise from west? Discuss.....

Bro where u been at? I've been talking about this for a long time and its like beating a dead horse here. Don't mean to bring your thread down but there's been several threads addressing this issue. I don't even feel like getting into the details right cause its almost a lost cause. Fuck this forum and most of the euro wiggers on here. There are a few couple of real ones on here who check for new shit and then u have your euro wiggers who think they know more about Westcoast shit  still hoping GFunk can make a come back. And then you have people like us that live in LA and are familiar with the hip hop scene out here and know what's up.

The problem is that this next generation is all about  promoting theirselves independently through mixtapes and don't have a commercial buz or haven't heard of them cuz Dre or snoop haven't co-sign them yet. These guys are doing it by there selves and these euro wiggaz haven't jumped on yet cuse there not making music that sounds from the 90's and think its not a west coast enough. ( I know)
So there u have it, on dubcc the west coast is dead but here in the streets, clubs, and in my circle of friends, the new west gets plenty of play.

As a Euro myself I find those comments to be disappoint

Yeah I don't have a local connection, but I rep London/UK rappers in the same way so I feel you on this

You guys need to just rep what u feel and stop worrying about imaginary preconceptions getting in the way. Yes there are a lot of euros on this euro site, but there are just as many Americans here who come purely to troll and contribute less than norhin

Just rep your favourite MCs and be cool

On the other point about Snoop and Dre needing to co sign. I give a fuck about all them niggaz, problem bad lucc hustle boyz nipsey and all the recent aftermath artists haven't amounted to shit. The only guy doing well is Wiz and fair play to him but I don't bump that radio shit anyway

Kendrick built his own buzz and stands on his own 2 feet - if Snoop or anyone tried to jock that I'd be like GTFO

loool u claiming that YG and Tyga doing good music and u bump southern sounding rappers from Cali because they from LA so ur opinion is kinda irrelevant. there are lots of underground artists who sound modern and still sound west coast-ish and that u always mentioning gfunk means that even u live in LA seems u know shit about local scene and only following trends since ur boys from DPG dont release dope music anymore
if some artist doing still g-funk it means that they are people listing to it
and who really cares if west will be on top again - rappers doing well and selling their records independently in thousands and they happy with it and kepp releasing project i couldnt give a shit if west is on top or not

Itchi itchi ya ya, where in the fuck in this thread or in on another thread did I say YG or Tyga make good music, quote me and come back to me.

While we're on the subject, I don't fuck with Tyga, he's rather none existant in my playlist. As a rapper, I think he a corny bitch boy trying to act hard. He's not. He's fake to me so I don't listen to him. YG on the other hand is little more tolerable. Don't go turning my words and say I said that's good music. Infact, I don't even consider the music he makes hip hop. So yea I basically prefer YG over Tyra. I"ll listen to a song hear and there if a like the beat and content is cool, but I'm not trying to hold YG down like he the next big thing.

Diamond Lane, TDE, OPM, Casey Veggies that's who I fuck wit right now and you can quote me on that!

Man that's the realest shit you ever said, I guess I kinda forgot this was started by Nima, from Germany right? But if we're talking about artist from the States and not UK or French rap, then I would expect euros to know a little more about the local artist coming up. It's cool though some of you are not up on game yet so let us locals help you out a bit. Take heed and listen to them IF YOU WANT. But if not, then stops saying the west is dead because g-funk is dead. The west is live and well.

G-Funk ain't dead - it's just ain't the main genre when it comes to rap music. Plain and simple. Just like the West Coast ain't dead - it's just ain't popular as it once was. The South is running the game right now, just like West did in the 90's.

Now as far as Dubcc goes - it always comes down to this "eurowiggers" bullshit. Yes, you got plenty of dudes over here that are from Europe and yes, some of them don't listen to nothing else except from classic West Coast shit. Why that bothers y'all so much is beyond me... Me personally, I listen to West Coast rap in general - it dosen't matter to me if it's G-Funk, Death Row, Bay Area, Southern Cali, New West or Old West. Good music is good music regardless when or where it's been made.

I think Cali citizens should appreciate, that their local scene had such a tremendous success over the years, that it effected the whole world and people around the globe are listening to West Coast rap. Yet, instead - most of y'all is acting like some ignorant fools around here calling everone "euro wiggers" etc.

Just because a certain person dosen't live on the West Coast, dosen't mean he can't listen to West Coast hip-hop or can't have the same knowledge about the genre itself. Today, the internet gives everyone a huge amount of information so you don't have to live in Cali to know or listen to some underground rappers from Cali.

You can school me aswell as I can school you in this subject, without insulting earchoter. If that can be done, DubCNN will be a much better place for everyone here - we should stop dissing eachother, get rid of the trolls and get the conversation going with everyone bringing something good to the table :)

^^^ thats a real post right there and your right, I apologize for calling out "eurowiggers" like that as i may have came off as an ignorant fool.
I was just frustrated at the fact the THIS particular forum cant get past death row era 90's gangsta rap and for the most part, the majority on this forum are outside of cali and the US for that matter.
I will try to be more positive and contribute to relevant Topics, but please be open to new shit and don't hate before you even listen to them. I mean really listen to them and give them a chance to grow on you as you will discover some new music.
peace!

sorry but u still sound ignorant in this post.
if u didnt notice only people complaining about west coast music are the laziest ones who cant be bother to look for something new and just waiting to get everything serve on platter (exp Kendrick new west coast messiah lool). this forum and website haven't been relevant in long time (why - there are plenty threads  bout that), like Mietek said 'trolls rules' here so that why people who listen west dont post here that often anymore, SICCNESS is way better and its easiest the best west coast music board at the moment.
for me its pure ignorance to think that if u dont live in US u dont know whats going on rap scene it is 21st century everyone has twitter or facebook whats the problem to hit artist urself and ask for music  ;) thats what i do and trust me i have many releases from LA/SD u have never heard about   8)
I have checked few song from Cassey Veggie and dont see anything special in what his doing so it means i dont know what good in west?  ;D everything coming just to taste in music i know what i like and what i want to hear on album and for this kind of shit im looking for and i dont have a big problem to find it

Sccit

siccness fell off too...and no, nima didn't start this LOL
