E-A-Ski - Earthquake
« on: April 28, 2013, 12:50:18 PM »
Why didn't this album come out? Was it because of Dre not givin the permission to release "Split Personality"? Some problems with the label or somethin' like that? I know E-A-Ski posts here and hopefully he can answer this question. It's such a shame this never came out, classic album. I really hope E-A-Ski could release this.

It was discussed here before. The album was supposed to come out on Relativity in 1998. They pushed back the release date over and over again, until someone brought them up. I believe it was Loud Records and they didn't had any intentions of releasing this CD so Ski followed with a lawsuit. Don't know how it ended tho.. he probably got some nice check off it.

Ya it didn't have anything to do with the Dre track. Ski just got lost in a label shuffle and sued as Mietek23 stated.

Not every song, but almost all of it.

At least these songs have leaked.

"Split Personality" was originally supposed to be on the album too. We need E-A-Ski to come here and tell us if the version of "Welcome To California" was the full lenght version that was released on the "Showdown" single. How come "Showdown" isn't on that tracklist though, i just noticed that now.

4.Do It Daily
5.Make Your Spot Hot

when i got it, it was labeled "Earthquake Advance"..lookin at the tracklist, seems like some of the cuts are actually off other projects.

That looks like a fan made bootleg that was labeled an advance.

the 7-track tracklist is somewhat fanmade, but 6 of the tracks are actually from the Earthquake EP that dropped:

He has stated numerous times that he is going to release it after Fifth of Skithoven. Who knows when that will be, but he seems to be making progress on it.
