is Scola to the Pacers a huge deal??
« on: July 27, 2013, 04:36:19 PM »
I've never been impressed with the euro too much but he's a good bench player

I still say the Bulls win the central next year if D-Rose decides to play next year

HE WILL GIVE THEM MUCH NEEDED FLEXIBILITY OFF THE BENCH...THEY LOOKIN NICE WITH THE ADDITION OF CHRIS COPELAND AND CJ WATSON, AS WELL. TOP 3 IN THE EAST, NO QUESTION. IF GRANGER RETURNS STRONG THEY COULD EVEN BE FAVORITES.

On paper, they're the second best team in basketball. Not even close.

Hill...Watson
George...Stephenson
Granger...Copland
West...Scola
Hibbert...Mahinmi

If Wade is injury plagued all year and Bosh plays like the pussy he's been, they're arguably better.

But if all is healthy in Miami, I'll give them the edge. If Oden signs and is a shell of what he was, they'll be runaways.

i don't see them being better than OKC

and Chicago with Rose is better because Noah matches up with any big on Indy

They'll slap Paul George on Rose.

Indy has the best defense in the league, they'd stop OKC.

OKC BOUT TO BE A HORRIBLE TEAM IN 3-4 YEARS WHEN EVERYONE BOLTS FROM THAT FUCKASS CITY

THE OWNERS ARE PENNY-PINCHIN BITCHES...THEY TRADED JAMES HARDEN FOR MONEY, JUST LET KEVIN MARTIN GO, AND THEN SIGNED THEIR ROOKIE ANDRE ROBERSON FOR AN 80% SCALE, WHEN UR TYPICAL ROOKIE GETS 120%.....KEVIN DURANT AINT HAPPY, AND WESTBROOK GONE LEAVE SOONER THAN YALL THINK.

Indy is a top 3 defense for sure but I think Chicago is the best defense (and they have the best defensive coach and most under rated coach)

i can't WAIT for the playoffs next year

you got the Heat who pretty just just need Lebron, Wade and Bosh to be healthy enough to play a combined 200-215 starts and they'll be a top 2 or 3 seed in the east

the Pacers SHOULD be better simply based on the fact they'll be a year older but you know things don't always go that way

Bulls will be better for sure unless Rose decides to take another year off

Nets will really depend on how good or great D-Williams wants to play.  If he just wants to be good then they'll be a 1st round exit but if he wants to go back to what he was in Utah they'll be a legit team

Knicks are really facing an identity crises but I predict they go 50-32 ish if Melo plays most of the year  (Marshmelo is a LOCK to miss over 10 games every year...injured bastard)

then everyone else has a combined 0.5% chance of winning the eastern conference but i hate to admit Cleveland is looking like a possible playoff team...a 1st round exit for sure but that still means something for them.  i still think Dan Gilbert is a horrible owner and his son STILL looks like the bed wetter from the Home Alone movies  (fuller).

I think the Knicks take a huge step back.

I think it'll go:

1. Indy
2. Miami
3. Brooklyn
4. Chicago

^Agreed. The East is going to be so interesting next year. Will the Pacers playoff experience make them champions? Will the Nets new roster make them true contenders, can the Heat make it to a 4th straight finals (it's almost impossible to overcome that much fatigue)? They are an older team. Will Wade stay healthy? Will Rose turn the Bulls into the beast team they always were capable of being?

It's less interesting in the West IMHO. The Lakers will probably make the playoffs, but nobody really thinks they'll be contenders even if Kamen and Young have really good seasons. The Spurs will be back as usual, but will this finally be the year age overcomes them? OKC will dominate the West of course. While the Clippers, Grizzlies and Rockets will be behind them. The Rockets will probably be really good during the regular season then fold in the playoffs.

the east is more interesting than the west

the west is basically 4 teams...OKC, SAS, the CLippers and Houston

sure the Warriors, Grizzlies are there too but nobody the Grizz downgraded at coach and the Warriors aren't as good as the Clippers are.

Yeah, OKC will handle the West. At least in the regular season. I think the Mavs have a good chance to beat some teams up in the playoffs though and make a move.

The Warriors with Iggy can make some real loud noise too. Almost beat the Western Conference Champs last year.

Honestly, the best the NBA has been in a long time in terms of power balance.

it's always possible the Spurs take a step back or Houston takes awhile to gel together
