This is incredible... If you're a fan of 90s West Coast rap, this is for you. Some would say it sounds dated, but that's not necessarily a negative thing.

The EP starts off with a smooth song, followed by another smooth song. After the 2nd smooth song, there's  the incredible highlight of the album "GFUNKISFOREVER", which is followed by yet another smooth song. The next 2 songs are yet again smooth, great, awesome and all that kind of stuff. The only song I skip is the bonus song... not because it's a bad song (it's alright), but because the sound of it doesn't match the rest of the EP.

This is some of the best music to appear in 2013. GFunkIsForever is a classic song. Great beat and lyrically inspiring, love the use of Quik lyrics from one of Quik's masterpieces.

Shade Sheist, Roscoe, Terrace Martin = three artists keeping West Coast music sounding right.

And Keep It G Make That Bang is a fly ass track, we need more music like this to ride to.

I'll give this a listen.

Music from that period and in that style is timeless IMO. Never dated, because it's soulful as is a lot of the smooth West sound. You can even enhance it to make it sound modern, or keep it sounding how it was to give it that classic sound. Motown still pushes numbers all over, whether that be charts, commercials or movies. Everyone is digging into the classics looking and hunting for "good" music because there simply isn't enough new good material coming out at the rate we drink it
